Mary Kate and Ashley, definitely.
I remember when I was about 16/17 and began really getting interested in fashion. I subscribed to vogue and spent hours looking at pictures and researching fashion online. Although, I suppose more than 'fashion' I was trying to develop my eye for style.
I loved looking at Mary Kate and Ashley and really admired their style.
I remember how people at school would make comments about how 'boring' my clothes were and how I should really try harder to follow fashion, which upset me as I knew that I was far more dedicated than they were and knew much more about the intricacies of style. But I could see where they were coming from. Whereas my friends would be clad head-to-toe in Topshop, I would go for simple items, very non-trendy. But I guess I didnt understand how to make my outfits that little bit more special, and so seeing Mary Kate and Ashley really helped me develop my 'simple' style into something a little more interesting, without turning into a trend-wh*re!

It may be that I am influenced without knowing it ... but I suspect not. I admire a few celebrities' style--Audrey and Jackie come to mind--but the real point of their style is that it was so right for them. They both had body types quite different from mine, as well as (of course) different personalities, so attempting to imitate them seems to miss the point ... and doesn't feel right either.
and model's style.
And even know I would still say them
