Interview February 2017 : Solange by Mikael Jansson

Wow, the gazes and posing of a model, she looks absolutely stunning.

The cover is glorious and so is the cover story, Mikael is such a force. Solange is on fire and totally deserves it; 'A Seat At The Table' is a wonderful album. Her poses and facial expressions are so modelesque, love every shot!

Wow, she looks amazing here. Like a real modern day Diana Ross. They didn't need to put her egotistical sister's name on the cover, this is her moment!

Indeed! Beyonce's name rather spoils it.

Don't like her music but it's a glorious cover. Absolutely beautiful.

I love this lady. So happy for her success. It's been a long time coming. Stunning cover and editorial.:heart::wub:

Well... that is sort of the point of Interview.

What I really meant was that someone else should have interviewed her. FKA Twigs, for instance. I think in certain ways FKA Twigs and Solange are somewhat alike. Whereas Solange and Beyonce's public image and artistry is like chalk and cheese.

Solange choose Beyonce so maybe they aren't that different than we may think (that will not surprise me at all in a way).

Having Solange being interviewed by someone like FKA Twigs is like having Miuccia interviewed by Raf Simons....

I would be even more basic and go with Solange by Dev Hynes.. they've collaborated for so long, had disagreements, reconciled, make quality pop songs together, I'd be interested in that.. or Solange by an actor or anyone but Beyonce really :rolleye:, it's funny because I sometimes set "he doesn't even know that I'm alive" as my wake up alarm because her voice is sooo pretty and makes you want to be awake asap (), but anything Beyonce related has the opposite effect.. her voice, image, career, interviews, potential questions.. total snoozefest for me.

Also don't think the cover's all that....

I mean we all know they picked Beyoncé just so they could slap her name on the cover. Works for Solange because the Knowles sisterhood always helped raise her profile, works for Beyoncé because she loves her name being in headlines, and works for Interview because of the buzz and extra sales.

She is so stunning, and so much more photogenic than Beyonce!

24 pages for Paul Hameline? I don't get it. Awful fetish editorial as well.
And do I see Richardson's name?

What a bad issue.

steven klein's editorial is so irrelevant. useless, even.
if you're gonna be so literal and add absolutely nothing to countless photos of actual punks from the late 70s / 80s, what's the point?
