Interview May 2010 : Madonna by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott

Even if I can't stand Madonna, I really like the cover. I don't think I'll buy it though...

I love the way so many people in this thread have been able to look past their dislike for or disinterest in Madonna and recognized that this is a very strong cover! ^_^

... because it is. I don't particularly care for Madonna, but this is the first Interview cover in some months that hasn't been disappointing to me, stylistically or photography-wise. Hopefully, the full-res cover won't disappoint!

I'm surprised it took her soo long to work with Mert and Marcus again, Her Pop images by them were really great imo. Wish they had done her LV ads.

i've never been into madonna, neither as a celebrity nor as a singer (actually, i only appreciate her oldest work), but this is a striking cover. and at least it has surprised me, considering while seeing 'madonna' on the title of the thread, the first thought that came across my mind was 'and here's the tacky'... fortunately, it's way better than what i was expecting for a few seconds..!

She should write Ryan Murphy, the creator of Glee a big hefty check for the insanely huge career revitalization that show has given her.

I just love this! Both covers look phenomenal! Madonna at her best!

May I say that Just Jared tags are so irritating

WOW this is smoking hot... MADONNA at her best! She should stick to sexy Madonna...I don't like all this Yoga work-out maddness Madonna... I like when she is sexy and when it feels effortless...

The red cross makes a lot more sense on the crucifix cover; on the first one, the red cross simply reminds me of the England flag, because it doesn't relate to any part of that shot.

And I know it's due to the marvels of contour powder, photoshop and all sorts of special effects - but some of those shots are impressive.

Sooo good. Thank you Pedro! I'm just baffled as to why W didn't tackle all her cover stories like this, I mean it's so much better than the staid Klein shoots we got in the past.
