This is hauntingly perfect! Love the mixture of intensity and softness in her face. Must be the way it was photographed. Can't wait to see Shailene Woodley! And of course, the other young stars who made it into Class of 2012 feature.

And I am just so glad that they went back to this layout from the October issue with Florence Welch.

This shot is a moody escalation of Richard Bernstein's seventies/eighties Interview portrait covers. I've been expecting one of the current teen triumvirate (Moretz, Steinfeld, and Fanning) to land an Interview cover and I'm satisfied that this was the approach they took.
