Hi Shelleybean,

Part-time is similar to city, its just longer. Twiggy is quite a small bag, but I heard from other tFsers that it can actually fit a lot.

I would think First - Twiggy - City - Part time - Work - Weekender?

First does not come in giant hardware. I find that Giant Cities are gorgeous, but some do think that the giant hardware makes the bag looks small. My fave is the Work though, it can fit so many things and still look beautiful.

BTW, I brought my Argent to the cobbler and the guy fixed it with glue and hammer!! I hope it holds up strong. And the boy said they will send me some longer screws anyway.

shelley: The First only comes in RH.

baby_yorkie and I don't like GH on the City. We both think it makes the City look smaller (and kinda funny).

The PT is like a Work with less height and the Twiggy is a long log shaped bag.

I think if you want a smaller version of the Brief, ask for the Step! They've done it before so they def have the pattern and it's a similar shape to the Brief but not so humongous!

yeah have finally come to realise that. oh well any suggestions on what to do with the white spots on the vachetta that refuse to tan tho? i've tried "target" tanning with oil, but nope, no success there.

Oh and ditto on the GH on the city - it doesn't look very proportionate IMHO.

I agree with the sizing order. I love GH Cities, in fact I don't like Works and Weekenders RH or GH, I don't know, these bags look somewhat sloppy and unfinished to me. But, that's just me!

I would love a Brief type of bag, only smaller. I like the Step, but I think it only comes with RH and I think it would look better with GH. I'll go and check out this new Street style now

So glad that the cobbler managed to fix the bag for you! Now you can finally take the bag out and carry it Save the extra screws and if the ones you have now fall out, just have them replaced with the longer ones.

I looked up the Street Style and as much as I like the size, I hate the shape of the bag, it's too square IMO.

eek, the street style is too boxy for me too malena! i love the brief now, *sigh*. also i love cities with GGH, only cause i'm pretty tiny and cities are a great size for me + i like GGH. part times are great though because u can wear them cross-body which is what i wish i could do with my city.

Well.... I have just caught up the last 5 days of the thread. I am currently on my hols in Nice and have just managed to log on while my boyf is still asleep

Nice is a beautiful city and I have seen some amazing things. I have also seen quite a few lovely bags. It is illegal to carry fake bags over here in France - I was greeted by a big poster as I got off the plane. COUNTERFEITS ARE ILLEGAL. 3000 EUROS FINE FOR SELLING BUYING OR EVEN CARRYING ONE.
I was carrying my EB Work at the time as hand luggage and freaked out a little I quickly turned it around so I had the back facing outwards.

How on earth do they police something like that? Are the police trained to authenticate ALL designers?

Anyway... it seems like a lot has happened. Great to see more arrivals for Anthra and Amethyst. Not so great to see a brand new bags arriving faulty. Sorry to hear that shopaholic48... glad you got it sorted though!!

LOVING the mystery and speculation behind T&D. Will the real Tony and Dom please stand up?! Brilliant. I think that many people send out their emails. Some I receive are really friendly and chatty and some are... well let's just say... Short
I do know that they have a cat - if this helps on discovering their true identity?!

Apart from the 4 colours that the boys have released, have they confirmed any other colours they will consider doing? I am not a fan of the latest release. I'm needing some stronger colours. And I need to get some giddy posting done - but these new colours aint floating my boat.
I am gutted I missed out on Anthracite. Has anyone got a spare one hiding under their bed...?

Just one more thing (Columbo Style)... can some one please post a picture of the inside of their City? I am freaking out a little after reading MaLena's post about her dodgy First bbag with the weird pocket inside.
I just need to check mine is right. I can't afford the 3000 Euros Fine if I get stopped on my travels today!

I have nothing against the City style...I actually really like it. I just carry a lot with me so it doesn't work as an everyday bag for me. I've used it for a going out bag. I'm tall and stacked so I can pull off big "sloppy" bags. I just mentioned not liking GH on the City b/c Shelley asked. Obv we don't all have the same taste and preferences and that's why I love this board. And look at the effect we have....we've managed to get Shelley over to the dark side! Muhuhahaha!!

Well, I don't think you have to worry about anything. I don't know the laws in their country, but here there's no way that the police could just walk up to someone on the street and demand that they take their purse somewhere to authenticate it. I also don't think it would apply to items you already owned and brought in with you. However, all that being said, it's doubtful you are going to be doing anything that would draw extra attention to yourself (like buying fakes, LOL) so don't worry about it

oh...and I saw one at Holt Renfrew that wasn't the Street but kind of the boxy kind of shape and it reminded me of one of those insulated lunch bags...you know, the square kind with the zipper around the top? LOL.

I hope you're enjoying your holiday, please don't stress over insignificant things, there's no way anyone will know you have an NBF bag, carry it with pride!

I have done some research and found that some older bags have the inner pocket stitched on the outside (not sure about the styles involved), I'm not sure about the strip of leather inside it, though. However, I couldn't find a pic of how it looked exactly and the exact season when it changed. So, don't worry please

I have to concur with BBS and others about the GH on cities.
I also find the size way too small - what I love about the work is that you can carry a sweater, pair of flats, water bottle etc without the bag looking stuffed. Just try doing that with a city! The part time can carry probably everything the work can except maybe the pair of shoes, but I am really loving the day at the moment as that can carry almost as much as the work and looks good empty or full. If I was working I would be carrying the work though - I think the day just doesn't look right with a suit.
As for the hardware, I don't like the look of rh on the larger bags - I like the proportions with gh. I also find the gh more practical w/o the tassles and I just love the bling that the gh provides - really livens up an outfit and makes the bag look completely unique

As for MaLena's first pocket issue, I too have had the same issue with my aqua PT and EB work. Sorry for not mentioning it earlier but for me it was a total non-issue. I didn't even mention it to the boys as it's not obvious from the outside of the bag anyway - to be honest I have had worse problems with some of my bag zippers not zipping - but the trusty shoe repairer can fix that no problem.

What happened as a fact in Italy is that a woman got fined 10000Euros for buying fake sunglasses, possibly to make an example of her. but she was 'caught in the act' and I really don't think police give a *** about a bal rep which has no logo whatsoever. now if you were carrying LV mono reps in France that's another thing...

Thanks everyone! I have been sporting my Black City for the past few days and it's being doing just fine!

I have seen quite a few LV's around and only one Bal. They love their LV over here. Big time!

Chelsita - The cat - well one of their emails was all like:
"zzzzbjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjgggggggg"
And then they wrote - "sorry that was my cat coming to say hello" or something like that. I have a cat too (my avatar) and she likes to walk over my keyboard so we did some cat bonding over a few emails. Twas funny!

MaLena - thanks for your info on the pocket inside. I am so confused now with all the differences between releases. My pocket works so I will shut up about it for now. My mind is boggled by it all.
I will have a little google when I get back to the UK and see what my Miss Marple skills find.

PinkDolphin - What is the pocket like on your EB? Am curious....

Ambextrous - Yeah I heard that too. I know that it is illegal to even carry a fake in France. But I agree they are probably much tighter on LV's here. They are everywhere!
