coco109, I'm so sorry to hear that you still haven't received your bags. That's totally unacceptable, 3 months is just too long! I hope you get them next week, be firm with them! I just don't understand, aren't they just supposed to make the pattern and work from there and not compare each bag to your authentic, that sounds weird

brianna, I hope you will love your Ame, I was a bit disappointed with mine because the colour does look better in pics, IMO. Hope you won't be thinking the same when you receive yours. Please report once you receive it

ViaSarah, thank you for posting that pic. That Ame looks a lot more like the 1st batch than the 2nd. I have to say it is very difficult to catch the true colour of a bag in pics, I still cannot get a decent photo of my Turquoise First and as I have said, I think that 2nd batch Ame looks better in pics, I'd say it's darker and more purple in real life.

That said, I think that the pics of authentics can be deceiving as well, we won't know which batch is closer to the authentic Ame unless someone will be able to compare the three in real life and I don't think that will happen any time soon

Hello, can anyone tell me much about Catty's "super bags?" How close to the original are they, and how are they different from Catty's regular bags? Are they worth the extra $? Anyone have any experience with them? Thanks in advance!

Well, I know the Chanels from that catalogue are supposed to be the best on the market ("imported" leather used on the outside and interior) and Catty has confirmed it recently via email, hence the high price tag. The medium classic flap has the finest stitching and nearly perfect details of any rep I've seen. These are the same bags that Fangfang carries, FYI, and many other sellers on taobao etc. They seem to start at $250 and up w/o shipping. Catty has even more in her Picasa account, but that's only what I know about the Chanels. I assume, it's also true about the others.

MaLena, I was thinking about getting one for my mommy as well. She holds so much rubbish in her wallets and they fall apart so fast. She's really frugal when it comes to herself, btw. She's fond of the Aigner.

fanbao26, how well do you think Jacky's PS1 could hold up to heavy duty, work horse use and heavy contents? Baga says that looks are deceiving in this case and that it is in fact not as reinforced as it looks. I wanna get one for my collegiate brother and his new law firm internship. Do you think his books etc. would be too heavy for it? I'd hate to give him one as a gift then tell him what he could and could not carry, kwim?

I personally like the 2nd batch of ame better and I got to see it in person and the color definitely seemed to be spot on with whatever pics I saw of authentic ame. I think you're definitely good to go and I thought the leather was fab. This is just my opinion though. Congrats!

coco- I love how you post all these pics of mulberry alexa. This bag is gorgeous. I love it. I want it as well. Ohhh dear. I have too many bags I want. I have a wishlist in my planner that I hope to check all off one day. HAHA. Not good for my wallet. Not good at all.

I'm SO conflicted. On the one hand, I think the regular sized Alexa is a little too small for a bag that is styled like an old school bookbag (which I adore, btw)... On the other hand, the oversized Alexa is just too big for me, as far as an everyday bag goes. Dilemma!

sanitizedfashion PS1 cannot withhold heavy items unless you actually take the bag to the cobblers and have the screws professionally glued + maybe extra stitchings. The bag itself already has some weight, so i try not to carry a lot. So far all I carry everyday are my makeup bag, a medication bag, my wallet, and a 5.5" x 6" thick notebook. on heavier days i'd have two notebooks in it and a waterbottle. other than that, I tried carrying my macbook pro and it held up fine, but I think the weight is what got the screws loose. So I try not to do that anymore. hope this helps!
