lucky, I have a tee and it is absolutely beautiful in IRL. Although, I can be klutzy and I always worry about ripping mine. The one I have is 100 percent linen, and a perfect staple for my wardrobe.

classical, I loved that color when I saw it. You always have the perfect purchases .

luckyme, I already have a couple IM linen t-shirts, and I absolutely love them. Like laika said, they're heavier than a regular t-shirt, so they hang beautifully. And because the unevenness of the fabric makes them slightly sheer in places, they look sexy in an understated way. I bought mine in a small. As for the cashmere blend tank, this will be my first one, so I'm unsure of the quality. I'll give you an update once it arrives.

lucky, i also got a small, although I would have gone for XS had it been available. The style runs loose and quite long, with narrow sleeves and shoulders.

I don't know if I have the same style, but my linen tee sort of flares at the bottom-- and I got a small, although, I too could have done an xs.

hmmmm, i was thinking of getting the medium since i am usually a size 2 in her tops but now i am thinking a small perhaps, but i have fairly wide square shoulders so im on the fence. thanks for the tips gf's. what colors did you all get?

juliet, exactly, it's sort of A-shaped. It fits well, but I could have used a little less length.

lucky, would it help if i measured the shoulders? I can try and take a pic later. Mine is a taupe-y grey color, really lovely.

Well I usually buy t-shirts a size larger (medium) because I like them to fit loosely, but all of IM's t-shirts seem to be slouchy to begin with, so I get smalls.

Mine is a taupe-y grey color, really lovely.

I love that color. I was thinking about getting that one, too, but figured I would see how I liked the fit of the black one first.

Not really seeing anything that I have to have. The only thing I'd really like from IM is a mini skirt, these days.

I am obsessed with the 'Zand' boot and its perfect mid-sized heel, but am hesitant to purchase online as i havent tried ... does anybody here know what IM sizing is like? Is it French and therefore smaller?

I am typically somewhere between a size 39.5 and 40 depending on brand ... i.e. In Marc by Marc Jacobs i am definitely a 40, but in miu miu, marni etc. i can sometimes be a size 39.5.

I also like the APC boot (also on totokaelo.com) that has a similar sized heel to the IM ones, but they dont make half sizes and the size 39 feels a little small and 40 a little big when i tried on in Sydney ... So any tips on whether IM ones would fit any better would be appreciated!

so, it's a raglan sleeve and a bit hard to measure, but i would say it measures about 15" across the shoulders. Also, the sleeve opening, measured flat, is just under 5.5".

I guess that's the best advice,I have a pair of IM shoes and they run big.
I do not understand a thing about IM sizes or french sizes in general, I thought French sizes would be a size or half a size smaller than other european sizes but it's not always the case.

charps, totokaelo is impulse (they took the name when a new e-commerce site was launched).

i have the boots, but they are from a couple seasons ago; they run a itty bit large, but I would email the totokaelo SA's for details of the specific shoes you are interested in.

lucky, I have the shirt in white, and a small fits me in the shoulders (I usually wear a small or xs in things) but the cut is, as laika pointed out, "a line,"so the shirt is larger in the stomach area, but drapes quite nicely!

not sure about the zipper, but i just got an email back from totokaelo.com, and apparently this style runs a little small, so i will probably try the 40. Am going to check Aime in London first though as its probably cheaper for me to buy from Europe at the moment ...
