Both of these looks are by Isabel Marant, a young, chic designer in Paris. These dresses are easy to wear as they have their own thing going on and don’t need any accessorizing or further thought. Many brands have the same idea at the moment, see below for the Topshop version.

Ok, I must say again Gwyneth is seriously reviving my interest for IM and Lucky that's the lace top I had in my mind...

Meg I agree - I actually had my eye on that first embroidered dress...super cute....but like you said Meg its not really like her natural style....she usually goes for more uptown chic....she looks good in it because she is really nice looking but somehow I am not convinced its really working on her....

I like the utilitarian feel of the first dress you posted Luckyme... I really like the thick cotton she used.

Now Gwyneth is wearing IM? How strange.. I can't say I think she suits it..feels a little forced somewhow.
I do like the trousers though, I have been after a pair like that with a slight army feel.

I love this season's collection, can't say I like it on Gwy, she's too bland for those clothes, . Isabel Marant's clothes, because they are kind of neutral, IMO only look really good on persons that are NOT in themselfs so beige.

ok, sorry. another question re the Zand boot ... i have ordered a leather pair in "cognac" (see first pic, i think) ... does anybody know where i can get another pair in the tan or taupe suede (pictured below) ... or black leather in a size 40. I have tried Bird, Satine and Impulse (the black ones went on sale and i missed out on my size!) ... thanks

so, it's a raglan sleeve and a bit hard to measure, but i would say it measures about 15" across the shoulders. Also, the sleeve opening, measured flat, is just under 5.5".

this helped immensely, thanks so much. i bought the small in kahki/grey color and it is wonderful.

ummm, well i ordered them anyway ... i like the heel size of both, thats why i ordered the zand ...

so back to my question, anybody know if the black or khaki coloured suede are available anywhere ... they did that colour think in the zand this season.
