John Galliano - Designer, Creative Director of Maison Margiela

There's one brand where I think John Galliano would be great fit, but it's not LVMH: He should go to Etro. All that paisley; the house color scheme of magenta, orange, and chartreuse; the blend of Anglophilia and orientalism — it's perfect for him. And he would naturally raise house's profile in a way it sorely needs.
but i wonder if Etro management would 'allow' JG to completely revamp Etro? whilst they have that unique print that does it for them, would they let John do a full 360 revamp with Etro? That brand is so bland I personally feel they REALLY need someone like JG to wake it up lol.

Please don't start any mess today we have enough going on. That sounds absolutely horrendously awful.

Do you guys have any favorite looks or moments from his tenure?
Not my favorite look at all but that red gown with a lot of metal work on top lives rent-free on my mind. Everytime i think about margiela couture, thats the look on my mind.

Then the 2024 co-ed collection was the first time i got the chills from his margiela and felt like i was watching fashion again.

And finally the last collection was just his whole tenure re-mastered and presented in a way that was easy to digest. All the rough edges removed making his well-deserved viral moment.
