^^ but is it the first tuesday? or the second tuesday?
the 5th just seems too early after Fendi... not that anything could ever be too early for monsieur lagerfeld... just sayin', wouldnt it be much easier to book those Ritz suites for the entire week. that should ensure we don't mess up, whichever tuesday it is?

^ That's true, but we'll just put it all on Bette T's AMEX Black Card anyway, so it doesn't matter...^_^

I miss the days when Karl had a fan. He should do a Chanel couture show inspired by fans! With transparent feathers and silver glass fabrics. And metal heels. :woot:

^ I sort of miss the fan, too- although it was almost comical! And in most of the pictures with the fan he is the size of a house- he looks much better now in the boots and Diesel jeans.... B)

Maybe that was his tactic - appear smaller by using oversized fan! Like the huge bags on girls. He uses tricks like that, gloves, rings, high collars... But I still want him to dig in his accessories vault and come up with a vinyl/lacquer fan. I just adore shiny things on Karl.

Still no definite Chanel date, but...

Lagerfeld: Haute couture better than working on the assembly line

Berlin (dpa ) - Fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld says he firmly believes in the future of haute couture, the German magazine Die Zeit reported Wednesday.

"In the past, there were good customers and they came from America, brought four, five dresses. Today, these are young women who come from around the world - from Africa to South America, China, Korea - and they come and buy 20 dresses," said the German-born chief designer of Paris-based fashion house Chanel.

Many of his clients however no longer travelled to Paris themselves, Lagerfeld said. "They don't bother: They don't try on the items, but get them flown home to them by private jet," he said.

Only a few were having their the clothes tailor-made. "Travelling to Paris, having their measurements taken at Chanel, that is something only a few still do," the eccentric veteran of the international fashion set said.

Previously, haute couture had been something for "fat ladies who couldn't find anything and had to have something made," he said. The new clients were "women with figures just like the mannequins."

"It's beautiful to wear couture, and to produce it is more beautiful than working on an assembly line. As long as I'm with Chanel, I will do haute couture," he said.

^ Not to mention Fendi, KL and Chanel all within a couple of weeks!! :woot:

I was at Quai Voltaire yesterday! I discovered Karl's three windows, and it seemed like there was somebody in there! :)

Pictures or it didn't happen!

But no, really, which one is his apartment?

But no, really, which one is his apartment?

I'll be doing my escapade tonight again, maybe I should bring my camera this time? ;)

It's a tiny building on quai voltaire.

^ Thank you!! Why would he live near so many others- I thought he was essentially a hermit? And what happened to the space ship place that was in Vogue and the one with the courtyard from Lagerfeld Confidential?
