Knitting!

I haven't knit in the longest time...I just haven't found any patterns I like very much :(
But I started some mulberry colored fingerless gloves yesterday, with a cabled beret to match. I have to work on double pointed needles for the gloves though and I hate DP needles

ooooooh! you wouldn't happen to maybe be able to post the cabled beret pattern would you??? i've been looking everywhere for one!

thanks babe! dont fear the DP needles either...once you get the hang of them, they're actually easier than circular!

I love knitting but have only really ever done scarfs. this year though i am going to attempt either a beret or a fairly easy vest if i can find a pattern

yes its that time of year again although its summer i've started knitting since its takes me so long and im still stuck on squares and rectangles.... which is abit shameful since i started this thread sooooo long ago and i havent learned anything new:ninja:

but i do love sitting down watching tv with a cuppa tea knitting:heart:

Wow I haven't knit in so long! So much inspiration here! Thanks!

i've finished my armwarmers after getting many tiny blisters on most of my fingers which i found abit strange:ninja:

i'll post a picture of them when i figure out where i put my camera they're not amasing but i love them.

next is the scarf hood with pom poms on the end i dont know how im going to do it since i remember my mother having one when i was young and now im going to attempt to knit one.

i was messing with this idea in my head since i like to stick ribbons around my head and tying them in bows i knitted myself a ribbon.

i already made a plain knitted headband and now have just made a length of knitting to be tied around my head, neck, waist anywhere i can tie it to really^_^

hello! didn't even know we had a knitting thread. I started about 2 weeks ago. My little 10 yr old sister figured out how to from a friend at school so one day I just got on youtube and found some videos teaching the basic knit stitch went and bought the yarn and spent the rest of the evening doing it till I got it right. I am almost done with my first periwinkle scarf. i got mid thick yarn and 7 or 8 size needles. It's so relaxing and wonderful to make your own thing...don't know when I'll graduate to sweaters but would love a bulky grey cardigan like that one up there! it's beautiful, your grandma has skills! :)

those are -knitted- pompoms? :o
i didn't know you could do that with knitting

how envious you can wear a scarf where you live  it's too hot over here for those

ha ha ha no the pom poms arent knitted they're made the good old fashioned way with rings of cardboard large ones just take alot of time

i cant wear it yet im just stocking up for winter:ninja: (i still want to make more stuff)

wow you guys are amazing. i wish i could make something other than a scarf.

the hat i made was super easy its actually the easiest pattern so not really a challenge aslong as you can knit two stitches together which is also very easy i'll post the pattern if you'd like it:flower:

I can't believe I only just found this thread!!!
Karma
I love to knit but since I bought a machine, I don't do it by hand so much anymore...actually I'm not using my machine that much either because I'm lazy...:ninja:

I have been making tiny hats for smoothie bottles! Its for charity, I am not crazy. I want to make a new scarf though, I have made scarves in the past but I want a new one. The grey pom pom scarf is lovely. I want to try other things but I don't know what is easy?
