Kristen Stewart Cheated on Robert Pattinson #1

So Jen should have been happy for him and take comfort on that fact that it was not just a fling? Because this is Pattinson's perspective we are talking about..

My God aren't people magnanimous in this forum. To be "happy for her" I would hate my husband with passion for all eternity.

Jen shouldn't be happy for Brad but she should be happy that her husband respected her enough to tell her about his feelings for another woman instead of letting her find out through photographs in US Weekly.

No one ever said be happy for the other person. You're putting words in my mouth. Of course Jen and Rob should be angry because they were wronged, but you cannot compare what happened with Brad and Angelina with the mess that was Kristen Stewart and the director guy. Ruining your marriage because you're in love with someone else and ruining your relationship because you wanted to have a fling with someone else for the hell of it are two different things.

The poster you agreed to, did.

Kristen and Rob break up is child's play compared to Brad and Jen. Jen's public life is still to this day overshadowed by her humiliation. The fact that her husband left her for his lover, and what a lover, became the defining thing in her life. This certainly won't happen to Rob, no matter how many pics they dug up of her cheating. She backtracked and asked for forgiveness, he had the opportunity that Jen never had, of at least dumping her because he was wronged. In terms of his public image, and the types of roles he goes for, it makes all the difference.

I find it interesting to see the press heralding her as hero for fufilling her work obligations and actually making an effort with her appearance so basically doing what most of her peers usually do. There seems to be such a disconnect between the press' opinion on her and her actions and the general public's. I think there always has been regarding her but it's become more obvious now.

I like Jen and loved her in Friends but she became defined by it because she let it. She's been as savvy as Brad and Angelina with handling this situation and she definitely used it to her benefit. The poor Jen image was in part perpetuated by her just like Angelina manages to cultivate the image that she has now. All three of them have used it to their advantage and that's probably why it has stuck for so long.

Exactly, pixiedust.^^^

The poster you agreed to, did.

I did, and I wouldn't change the phrasing at all. What's the alternative to not being happy? Being bitter and depressed and self-pitying? That's stupid. I'm not saying Jen or anyone else who has been left for another should just get over it or not be upset, but you can't make someone stay with you. If they love somebody else but stayed with the person they were with, what kind of relationship would that be? Not a satisfying or happy one that's for sure.

Anyway, crap happens. People do crappy things to each other. It's not right, but you can only control your response to it. We just can't see eye to eye on this, so again we'll just have to agree to disagree, Les_Sucettes.

Pixiedust, I cannot believe people are applauding her for...doing her job? The media really does grade her on a serious curve. That's incredible.

I read LaineyGossip's account of Kristen's actions at the Toronto film festival and it actually provides a good description of how nervous Kristen was. I think that it shows she's definitely not cold or heartless, that she does regret what happened. In a way I do think she's brave for not hiding because you know she had to have been mortified standing in front of the press after what happened, but she got on with it. A weaker person would've hid or would've made a jackass out of themselves, but she was professional so kudos to her.

As for Jennifer Aniston, give me a break. Girlfriend got over Brad years ago. It's the press who continuously depict her as this sad, lonely woman. She's engaged now. She doesn't give a crap anymore what Brad and Angelina do because she's got her own life to live, so anyone who still feels sorry for her because of what happened SEVEN years ago needs to get over it. Rob will get over this whole thing eventually. Kristen will get over it. In the grand scheme of their lives this is just one obstacle in a sea of other good and bad moments. It won't, or at least it shouldn't define them as people or as artists.

I completely agree with you but there has been a lot of hyperbolic praise floating around. I just read Lainey's article and on the whole I got what she said and I, like her, preferred the way she handled last night to the victim playing. I can imagine how nervous she was so it was good she stayed resolute and was nice to her fans.

Well the other poster said no one did. That's what i was pointing out.
Of course you cannot make someone stay with you and why should you?, but you can be an adult and leave a relationship that does not fulfil you instead of only doing it only when you find a replacement partner. That's infinitely more cruel than a purely sexual fling.

So Joanne Woodward was just Paul Newman's replacement partner? Even though they stayed with each other for the rest of their lives? In other words, what Stewart did to Pattinson was nowhere near as "infinitely cruel" as what Newman and Woodward did. I'm sorry but I really can't agree with that.

We´re going in circles with this argument I think... the thread is gonna get closed and when something interesting comes up to talk about the thread will be closed and mods might not open it again...

am really bored with this whole saga...she did what everyone in Holywood does..get over it let them sort it out!

Kristen Stewart on Robert Pattinson: 'We're Going To Be Fine'

Kristen Stewart makes a quick dash through Pearson International Airport on Sunday morning (September 9) in Toronto, Canada.

The 22-year-old actress was in town to premiere her latest flick On The Road at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival.

On the red carpet for On the Road, the Associated Press asked Kristen about her relationship with Robert Pattinson, took a turn after her cheating scandal with Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders.

“We’re going to be fine,” Kristen said about their upcoming Breaking Dawn

I think the original question was about promo for Breaking Dawn. She said it was going to be fine and then added the we are fine part after.

That seems like a sound clip response she gave that's being used as her willingly giving people the status of her relationship.

Every new candid picture of hers, she always wears something from Rob. I'm sorry but I find it annoying, it's like too much of trying to show the world that they are just fine.

Personally, I think they are indeed "kaput". November will roll on, they will act professionally with their promotion duties. But that's it really

If they are over. And she is wearing his clothes so that it all can make them seem fine.. then that makes her a royal b*tch!!!!!!!

lainey just said that they're back together. no surprise there, if you ask me.

Grey Goose Soho House is where they go to end their night at TIFF. The Blunt-Krasinskis, Alexander Skarsgard, Bradley Cooper, many others, have all made multiple appearances. Kristen Stewart went on Saturday night to meet up with Jennifer Lawrence. By the time I got there after Lauryn Hill (OMG!) they were up on the third floor in a corner, talking closely. Lawrence was the more relaxed of the two, not surprisingly. She had her shoes off in her hand, and her legs dangling over the armrest of her chair. See now this is the relationship I wish we could cover more of. Imagine if we applied the same resources to reporting on Jensten as they do on Robsten? Can we?
And what of Robsten?
Stewart was asked at TIFF about whether or not she and Robert Pattinson would be ok promoting Twilight 5 together or something. And her response was:
“We’re going to be fine. We’re totally fine.”
So as you can imagine, all the Twi-Hards are like, HOW DO WE INTERPRET THIS ARE THEY BACK TOGETHER JUST TELL US!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes. It was communicated to people during TIFF that they are but they’re worried about how it might affect his career, like whether or not there will be some kind of crazy backlash or something. There’s an anthropological discussion here, you know, if you want to explore it. That for some of his more unhinged following, it would be worse for him to take back a girl who was unfaithful than to be unfaithful himself. Fascinating, isn’t it? And so we’re back to where we’ve always been with these two, and before a movie premiere. Are they? Aren’t they? Are they? Aren’t they? They are.
Here’s Stewart leaving Toronto yesterday. I am all over those pants. They look really comfortable.

I don't get something though, which people was it communicated to that they were back together? If it was other members of the press wouldn't this info have leaked earlier?
