Born This Way sounds a lot like an old Madonna song. "Let me know your love is real" I can't remember the damn name. Otherwise I like it and the performance was good. Hard to top performing live with Elton John though.

ETA: Express Yourself! That's the one I was talking about.

OMG,yes i tough it was only me.

everyones saying that its derivative and a carbon copy of "express yourself", including Madonna, who uploaded a new video of her VMA performance of the song. Curious.

Lmao...Anyone who says that 'Born This Way' is a carbon copy of 'Express Yourself' needs a new pair of ears. To say there isn't a similarity would be denial but to say its a carbon copy is pushing it. Yet nothing new from my point of view- considering 'everyone' tries to find every way to discredit Gaga.
Anyways...

I hope everyone knows Madonna does not actually control her youtube channel... Express Yourself was already missing from the youtube channel so perhaps it was all in good timing that they put it up in the channel since it was already getting a lot of attention.

Madonna is yet to publicly speak on the issue. If she does, I doubt she'll go all out b*tch mode since she herself is a fan of Gaga.

lol at the pic with usher. he's trying to get in with gaga and honey b!

Aww you can see a glowing Jada in the background as Jayden and Willow get their time with Gaga.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!

i thought it was absolute sheer brilliance and absurdity to arrive and "walk" the red carpet IN AN EGG! hahaaaaa. only Gaga. seriously -- only Gaga. and it's random **** like this that sets her apart. she's just such an ICON already. it's truly uncanny.

i LOVED that she gave a shout-out to Whitney Houston during her acceptance speech:

LADY GAGA gave an unexpected shout out to WHITNEY HOUSTON at the 2011 Grammy Awards on Sunday (13Feb11), when she revealed the R&B superstar was the surprise inspiration behind her new single.

The Paparazzi hitmaker won the Best Pop Vocal Album title for The Fame Monster and, as she took to the stage to accept the prize, she made it known it was Houston who gave her the strength to write her latest song, Born This Way.

She told the star-studded audience: "I need to say thank you tonight to Whitney Houston.

"I wanted to thank Whitney because when I wrote Born This Way, I imagined she was singing it because I wasn't secure enough in myself to imagine I was a superstar. So Whitney, I imagined you were singing Born This Way when I wrote it. Thank you."

Lady Gaga performed the song for the first time at the Los Angeles ceremony, making a grand entrance as she hatched from a futuristic egg-shaped incubator before launching into the track.

She rocked at the Grammys last night! I wanted her to win all the awards last night lol I am so proud of her . I was also surprised at how great of shape she was in.

lol oh gosh. Am I considered a "Hater" if I do not like Born This Way? I think it's very underwhelming. I do think it reminds me of Express Yourself. But hey, I consider myself a fan of hers. Hell, I even spent 7 hours waiting outside her concert in the middle of July in Texas just so I could stand 2nd row.

Just because I find the song incredibly boring doesn't mean I am a hater. Right?

She is so cute with the Smith's. I knew Willow loves her :)

I have to say that I'm not a Gaga fan, per se, with posters on my walls; I don't even have any of her CDs and I was actually a bit disappointed with her new track (maybe because of all that hype), but I still respect her a great amount.

For those that think Gaga is "copying" past songs or artists... yeah, so? That's essentially what pop music is. At least Gaga is putting her own image/style on it.

And, personally, it's hard to hate Gaga when you know she's empowering so many "different" young teenagers (and adults) out there.
