i have to say i wasn't a big fan of her till more recently
i went to her concert in miami april 13th and i loved her, she has so much energy and really loves her fans, there is not other celebrity that loves her fans as much as she does, she even cried a little when people started yelling "gaga"
i waited after the concert by gate 7 and took some pictures, she was so nice hahaha

Gaga covers NME Magazine

On the first single from Born This Way:
“The worst mistake I could have made was not putting out ‘Born This Way’ as the first record. It’s completely balls-to-the-wall, love-it-or-hate-it… Get in or get off the ****ing boat. I gained a lot of new fans.”

On not being completely happy about her songs:
“I am perpetually unhappy with what I create. Even though I might tell you that ‘Edge of Glory’ is a pop masterpiece, when it’s all said and finished there will be things I dread, and every time I listen to it I’ll hear them.”

On criticism for being manufactured:
“Let me tell you something. If you ****ing rip my hairbow and my wig off my ****ing head, my shoes, my bra, every single thing on my body, and you throw me on a piano with a microphone, I will ****ing make you cry.”

^ I love Gaga, but her ego is getting bigger than her hairbows.

Judas is so much better than BTW. I love it!

perez on her new album

Lady GaGa sat down with NME Magazine for a bit of a chat about her upcoming album, Born This Way. With two singles already on the loose, the whole world is anticipating what other musical gems will be hidden on the disc for us all to enjoy. During the interview, GaGa played a few cuts of some songs that she was particularly proud of.

She gave a sneak listen to Government Hooker, which reportedly "reeks of Berlin sex clubs," Bloody Mary, which Gaga explains is sung from the perspective of Mary Magdalene and describes as "a spooky rave ballad" and finally, Americano a "really politicized song about immigration."

She went on to add that this coming album will play a bigger part in her life than perhaps the first two, considering the impact she is trying to make with it. She explained:

"I thought I was the cultural sh*tstorm. I walk into a room, people write about me. It wasn't until I release Born This Way [the single] that I realized how completely vacuous everything had been. I realized now what a small impact I've really had, and how massive the impact is that I'm about to have."

Understatement. This record is going to blow everyone away!!!

As for Judas, which she refers to as "Bad Romance Version 7," she reveals that the song is very important to her, but that the video will be more so. She reveals it will involve motorbikes, death and, in the final seconds, a strong spoken word sequence about being "beyond repentance." She explained:

"This is my way of saying 'I've already crossed the line. I won't even try to repent.' Nor should I."

Hell yes! Nor will you ever or should you ever!

Badass!!! Keep it all coming!!!

can she just stop trying to give us strong messages and just give us good music?

^My point exactly and what I've been saying for a while now. I think she's really gone the deep end since Alejandro video. It was, and still is, such a fun song, but for some reason she decided to go ahead and make such a stupid video for it. She's only been getting weirder since then. Strong messages are most effective when they're subtle and accompanied by good music, none of which is present in Gaga's current releases.

BTW, does anybody else think her recent interview (can't remember the magazine) where she's swearing a lot is kind of telling? Like she's about to break or something. I certainly hope she's ok and all, but it feels like she's trying so hard to match the hype and it's kind of getting to her.

Why should she she stop being true to herself? It would be easy for her to go the route of some and just make mainly vapid music but if you didn't know by now, she uses her fame to talk about bigger issues than dancing until the world ends. I mean, isn't it natural for someone who is as outspoken as she is on various topics- incorporate some of those thoughts into her music?

Now unlike some I don't make blanket statements, so I will say that personally, thus far from what I have heard of the LP, I am enjoying. Which is what matters most to me. If she can continue to make good music imo that just so happens to have a strong message, I say good for her.
^_^

shes boring now im glad the masses are tiring of her gimmicks and preposterous manipulating ways for press and shock value

I think if we judge what we've seen from the album by the preview of Government Hooker and Scheisse we have very good pop music, a kind that we have never seen before, but I have to agree that if the majority of the album is like Judas and Born This Way, the whole thing is not as good as it sounds in her interviews

^Yeah that's it. Thought it was for a magazine. Doesn't it sound like she's starting to crack a bit?

Born This Way was #1 for six consecutive weeks.

A feat that has never been done since the late 90's.

I hardly can consider that being boring and tired.

LOL.

^really? i recall loads of songs being number one for more than six weeks. Mariah Carey "we belong together" was number one for about 10, "boom boom pow" by the black eyed peas was number one for about 10 too, so was "irreplacable" by beyonce, in 2007, "umbrella" by rihanna, the list goes on. I think "Born this way" was her biggest US hit since "Poker Face" but in all honesty will Lady Gaga garner longevity in the same way Bowie, Madonna, Prince, Cyndy have attained? i like some of her music but what she do next? wear a car on her head?

The point is that you claimed that people were tiring of her 'gimmicks' and if that were to be the case than 'Born This Way' would not have garnered the success that it did. Only time shall tell if Gaga's career will have longevity, if not it wouldn't be due to a lack of talent.

I also must point out that for someone who is supposedly so boring, she manages to keep her detractors following her every little move. My thing is that if I don't find one appealing they become out of sight, out of mind. Not me fumbling around & foaming at the mouth hoping and praying that said person fails. I mean really?

I do think the fast pace that she's been going at for so long is starting to wear on her. People need down time and I don't think she gives herself much. I'm enjoying her work though I will admit some of those recent interviews it does sound like the attention is going to her head just a bit. I still love her.

I respect her artistery i just feels that she needs some humble pie and originality. Madonna did what she is doing in the 80s and in a more culturally definitive way. Born this way is what "express yourself" was for madonna. Judas sounds exacly like bad romance and bad romance sounds like Poker Face. I dont know i just find some of her antics abit try hard and disingenious but i do like some of her work with "the fame" like "just dance", "love game", "paparazzi" and in my opinion her best song ever, "beautiful, dirty, rich". Maybe its time to deviate from fernedo and redone and work with other producers like MaxMartin and Ryan tedder. I'd like to see a country-type sound for Stefani, a Queen type rock and roll phase like she tried with "speechless".

^I'm sorry, I had to laugh out loud when I read MaxMartin and Ryan Tedder :ninja:
(Not that Redone and Garibay are much better)
Lady Gaga may have started off as a typical popstar a la Britney or Christina, but she had a vision which she is pursuing right now. Gaga even had a time when she sucked up to Paris Hilton for christ sake.

Btw, Eccentricity, supposedly she's working with the guitarist from Queen for "You and I" (...btw I don't think your name fits your opinions ).
I hope MaxMartin and Ryan Tedder stay as far away from Gaga as possible!
As for me, I'm glad Lady Gaga deviated away from typical teen fame wh*re popstar. I could see Gaga evolving when she came out with the Paparazzi video and I started REALLY being interested in Lady Gaga after that bloody Paparazzi performance.
