Leighton Meester

I think the red lipstick looks great!!

I thought she was busy shooting her new movie, and she was going to have red hair.. I'm a little disappointed I wanted to see how it looked!

She looks so cute, love it when she is not trying to hard to look like a sexy singer.

Really don't like the the two tops and the pants paired up with the makeup and the hair. Where is the older Leighton?! :(

Leighton Meester 2010-02-08 - On Set of Gossip Girl

...a buzzed-about new movie called "Oranges". The project, a dark dramatic comedy about an older man who has an affair with the daughter of a family friend, has been on Hollywood's radar for several years now.
Sources say two candidates have jumped to the top of the list for either the lead female role or possibly another role: "Gossip Girl" Leighton Meester and former "That '70s Show" co-star Mila Kunis. The latter has been turning a few film tricks of late -- she starred as the romantic/action co-lead in "The Book of Eli," and is playing a nemesis figure opposite Natalie Portman in Darren Aronofsky's upcoming "Black Swan." Meester, known for the pincers-out Blaire Waldorf character on "Gossip Girl," would be wading into newer waters (a foray that would mark an interesting litmus test for CW stars on the big screen -- just as Chace Crawford attempts same in "Footloose").
Television roles can in some ways be more demanding than film, since they require a much higher arc over many hours of episodes, not just a three-act transformation. But, of course, everything is also more magnified on the theatrical screen, so when actors seem too small for a part, or try too hard, the results can be disastrous.
In a poetic twist, boith Meester and Kunis are set to star opposite each other in the upcoming comedy "Date Night." The film is headlined by Steve Carell and Tina Fey -- so Kunis and/or Meester could at least have a successful TV-film path in which to follow.

Sounds interesting. Gossip Girl has gone downhill, so I hope she gets better film roles.

her PS1 is divine.
I like her latest candid outfit as well.
I do prefer the more dressed up Leighton though.

I've heard that Hugh Laurie might be the older man in the film. So, House reunion!

I seriously LOL at attempts to justify Leighton's fail filled singing attempts or to make it seem like a success. From all the sources that matter (ie. critics and listening public) is looks like its gonna get panned . :innocent:

I seriously LOL at the attempts of the people of the internet projecting their own insecurities onto others from the sidelines. I don't know what your "sources that matter" are besides other internet critics like yourself and trashy gossip blogs, but mine is Nielsen soundscan and there's nothing "fail filled" about having a top ten single for a new artist nor having the biggest draw as an opening act and selling out tickets at every club venues, but okay.

She looks so cute, love it when she is not trying to hard to look like a sexy singer.

I don't understand how much sexier she is as a singer than she is any other time she makes an appearance or does photoshoots as a star? She's a celebrity and a performer and always worn exotic and provocative things when making appearances or when she has a photoshoot, but that has never affected how she is in her more everyday, candids. That is like saying "I love it when she's not trying hard to look like a preppy upper east side princess as Blair." ....

^And apart from her STL video, I don't remember her ever really trying to be overtly sexy as a singer except maybe as a genie at the American Eagle event because she wore a bandeau top (though I doubt sex kitten was what she had in her mind)? And she still wears pants.

:lol:good comeback, you should be her PR, lately she seems to need it. However, I doubt her music is any worse off than many actors who have a flourishing pop music. I only heard one song by her and it sounded good, more suited for clubs, which is what the market usually wants these days.

^They are supposed to be filming up at Columbia for the last ten days or so but the weather has messed everything up...They are probably sitting in a bar on Columbus Aveune...

hahah thanks for the heads up Boomer. I wish we could still get some kind of images though!

I dont like waiting so long!

Haha. Well, I can attest to a few things personally and google is my friend. I think she's fine. She's represented by the same people who do PR for Penelope Cruz, Rihanna, and Charlize Theron. I like that she's not shoved down our throats and I think it's best that neither she nor her reps bother to dignify what overdramatic nay-sayers and trashy blogs say anyway.
