Luminous, Glowy and Healthy Skin

What kind of cream does everyone use for body care (legs, arms, etc)? I'm looking for something that isn't greasy. Besides of Nivea and Jergens, I can't think of any other known brands...

^ i really love LUSH's dream cream. it has an herbal/lavender scent and really sinks in... it's not greasy, or overly thick. it makes my skin really soft, and the scent is really relaxing. it's a bit pricy though, but a little goes a long way. if you're near a store it might be worth it to stop in for a sample. :flower:

I was inspired by this thread and went to go some new facial products.
I got Juice Organics Face Brightening Cleanser (and dove moisturizer) and it works like a charm!!! My skin looked healthier right away and definitely had that special glow, too! :D

I really like the ones Garnier makes. The one in the orange bottle is pretty lightweight and makes my skin extremely soft.

Since I started using a Kanebo moisturizer, my skin looks far more healthy and luminous. I love the healthy glow it has now, and I'm thinking about buying more products of this brand considering its results.

This is what I call Skin Perfection!
(of course with the help of minimal makeup and a little bronzer).
No caked up makeup or awful bright colours. Just healthy, luminous
perfect skin!

Is there a way to prove that's minimal makeup?

Anyway I think those photos are everybody's dream skin tone!

According to my dermatologist, contrary to what advertising might tell you, all a cleanser really does is wash off makeup and clear away any surface grime which has accumulated during the day. He said that cleansers should be the least we spend our money on, don't believe all that stuff about them going deep into the pores etc etc.

Really cheap facial cleansers usually contains pretty harsh sulfites which really dry out and slowly damage skin. I pay a few $$ more to have something that is gentle yet effective. Same with shampoos and soaps.

Yes, indeed does look great, but she wasn´t using minimal makeup when she took those pics.

What i notice is that when i have a tan, just a bit of blush and lipgloss makes me look fab., because it´s harder to have great looking skin when i´m paler because pale skin reveals more imperfections, etc.
But i only tan in summer

Because of the change in weather, I am having a lot of difficulty with be able to have glowy skin lately. The dryness is literally making my skin like the Sahara Desert and it is flaking off! :(

It's really hard to believe that skin like that is mostly natural, minimal makeup.

I have made some girls look flawlessly natural, and for that it's taken me layers of makeup, that you wouldn't know unless you're upclose.

Especially for pictures, your skin will look extremely washed out if there was barely any makeup in there, due to the flashes.

granted, she's got clear skin, which allows you to play around with iridescent powders or liquids to give that gloss that looks super clean and natural, versus someone that has to wear matte makeup because of some imperfections.

I think people with very dark skin age slowly compared to white people...thats why I think she looks still remarkably young.

^but look at Chinese and Japanese people, they have very fair skin that doesn't age either.

I can only speak for my Mom, but she never uses sun protection (in fact, she didn't do anything for her skin until the last 2 yrs) and she has not one wrinkle, even I have more around my eye :D

^ Maybe they are more vigilant about sun protection?

I'm not sure about Japan but in China nearly every girl carries around a sunbrella (bwahaha) and wears factor 30 faceblock, because pale smooth skin is incredibly fashionable.

It may be due to their diet also, one thing I wonder about sun protection is that my gran never used it and still doesn't today and has aged beautifully but now with global warming and all I don't think I can rely on genese alone lol...

In the winter I love using Mario Badescu Gingseng Moist Cream. It's fabulous when your skin is dry and flakey. Plus it makes you look glowy and healthy. I would also try Mario Badescu Seaweed Night Cream.

what about naturual resources that are great for the skin?
i.e. water, fruits,veggies, etc.
