Luminous, Glowy and Healthy Skin

i drink a ton of water (way more then recommended but i havent died yet)
water is the best thing ever..
so are vegetables and fruits!
for good skin eat:
salmon
fish oils
carrots
green veggies
nuts
papaya
tuna
egg
broccoli
soy
shellfish.

I eat a raw vegan diet so in addition to many, many servings of fresh, raw fruits and veggies a day, I eat young coconuts, nuts, seeds, some supplements, flax seed oil, and spirluna, sea veggies and fermented foods.

I TRY to drink a lot of water, but I need to work on that.

I agree with Dandy on those foods, natural sources of vitamin e and c, omega 3 are usually the best alongside water- it's all I drink and I don't suffer from any skin problems.

i used to suffer from skin problems and its definitly a combination of diet, products and genes. some people are lucky enough to have dewy skin nturally, some peopel have to work at it. oily skin (like mine) blemishes easily but on the plus side doesn't wrinkle as much  I eat mostly raw fruit and veg, nuts and good quality lean meat and fish. I avoid dairy and wheat as much as possible - i dunno which did my skin more damage (suspect diary) but eliminating these two from my diet has done wonders for my skin.
I would also recommend natural based products, personally i dont like some of the more traditional skincare brands like Lancome, as they are overly purfumed, greasy and artificial. I use Liz Earle which i find really good, especially the cleanser. For those with problem skin, i've recently started using Bliss Sleeping Peel Serum, its amino acid based serum and has made my skin unbelievably clear since i've started using it. Its quite strong though, so i wouldn't use all the time, just maybe for a few weeks at a time.
I also take high dose omega3 oil capsules and Perfektil.

Ever since I'm taking fish oils, whenever I burp, I can taste the fish. It's like I said salmon sashimi or fried salmon (or just any kind of salmon, period) for breakfast/brunch/lunch/dinner.

well, people say I'll see improvement in a month, so I patiently take one per day and keep on checking myself out in the mirror.....

^^ i get this sometimes too  try taking the capsules before food - the food should help absorb the oil so it doesn't come back up!

I get a type that promises no fishy after taste on the bottle

Try storing the capsules in the freezer. :flower:

lol, my problem is, I'll be starting a proteinshake only diet (it's only for a short period of time, no stress, no stress), so the idea of having food absorb it, is hard, lol.

Though, I had like, a huge bowl of chocolate cream yesterday, following the pill, and I didn't get the aftertaste. Well, I could taste the chocolate for the rest of the day (whatever is said about the taste of chocolate, when the after taste lasts longer than 10 minutes, it's obnoxious), no fish.

^You should take L'il Critters Omega-3 gummy vites. They taste like pure sugar and don't really have an aftertaste. Usually the chewable stuff that's marketed to kids is more easily absorbed by the body anyways.

I'm going to try and cut out sugar, wheat, and dairy from my system. Not only for skin benefits but to lose weight.

I think I'm going to start taking those vitamins after seeing how many take them. I would really love some great skin, LOL!

^There was a noticeable difference in my hair, too, as well as my skin. I def. recommend the omega-3/fish oil type supplements.

^To be honest, like facewash, I switch it up every time I run out. Target has quite the assortment. But I took my mom's Epa-Dha Omega-3 Fish Oil. It's from the Vitamin Shoppe.

my skin has been looking better and better now after christmas..
i started washing my face with water and soap (i've been using cleansers, etc for a while), then moisturizing my face with Lancôme's Aqua Fusion.
It's glowing now, and my zits (spots) have been clearing up. It's great and i'm so excited!

My skin WAS looking fabulous, but the weather suddenly turned very cold, and now my skin is literally flaking off. I want to hide in a cave at the moment. I did sleep with my humidifier on last night and am trying to OD on water and vitamins. Hopefully, it will do the trick.

^I find my skin gets really affected by the cold weather - because we're overheated in our houses and the weather is so harsh outside, our skin doesn't know what to do

At the moment I'm using Ren Glycolactic Skin Renewal Peel Mask which is super gentle but effective, and following up with 8 Hour Cream all over my face for a few hours. Gives a definite glow, and keeps my skin smooth and even in the cold weather
