Marni F/W 09.10 Milan

overall i like it, but some parts- like the floral/mumsy stripes and prints just scream Prada to me.

I just love the looks.
Everything here just looks frighteningly well made.
I want to see that slouchy yellowy two piece in motion - it looks so relaxed.
I'm in love the with the semi-cocoon zip-up shawls. They're got a very Grace-Kelly-with-a-cardigan-over-her-shoulders feel.
The looks are so pleasing to look upon - it's like the feeling you get when you see a wonderfully dressed lady in the street.
The fur gloves are wondeful accessories that add texture and softness to some of the harder pieces.
Rather loving this.

Love the prints! Especially that flower print is so lovely

Very Prada from a few seasons back, when she was doing lots of brocade and giant jeweled accessories.

You are right. It does remind me of Prada a lot too, like the tights, some of the coats and dresses with the floral prints, and even the overall styling. Marni's menswear is getting so close to a simplified version of Prada, which has been a huge letdown for me. Now even the womenswear is taking that direction.:(

Fabulous jewellrey as always. I really love the last look in #30. Pretty good stuff here

I really like this
Marni for me used to only be about the
jewlery because I hated the shapes of it last season
but now its flattering and you can still tell its marni

I like some of the pieces and I love the fewelry but I hate these fur gloves (or whatever it is)

so many prints and accessories, a few dresses defenetly look like SS collection, but it's superb anyway.

the emboidery and the details are so so beautiful, love the colours too

Wonderful. A few hit and miss pieces but generally I love it.
As always, each piece of jewellery is a little wearable piece of art. Sigh.

I like the most of it, I'm not crazy about the floral patterns, but even they look very well done and not tacky.

Detail shots are up on style.it, jewelry and bags are gorgeous!

I think they do it because this stuff sells, very safe in a bad economy. It's sad that they look backwards rather than forward, but I think they'll get the old Marni vibe going again when things start looking up. Meanwhile, there are a lot of exciting new designers experimenting with the modernist Marni shapes, so take heart!^_^
