I'm in love with these, even if they are photoshopped to death.iperlchen said:Click pic to see the rest of this awesome edit from W. The colors are so different from what you usually see. Like they used color filters that only apply to certain levels of the photo.. if that makes sense. I think it's very good

THAT editorial was the one that started it all. That got copied so many times now, that it's become a cliche. Alas and Piggot's style was something new and beautiful. It stood out, just the way LaChappelle did, unique color and style wise. A & P's Pirelle stint was a triumph for this year. One of the best calenders in recent memory. Beautiful use of black and white. These guy's aren't just colorists. They keep thing minimal, yet use approach to line and composition that is SO INDEBTED to Newton. I could even go to say, yes, these guys are HEAVILY stealing from Newton, but we'll just say, homage, because I believe these guy's are putting some really, really good art out there.

If you actually spend some time scouring their compositions, you see alot of subtle genious in the way they compose, line things up (model to background) Subtle symbolism, Galmour and finally, most importantly I believe...Amazingly well crafted imagery.
I truly believe they revived fashion a few years back. I love their work, possibly STILL my fav shooters at the moment.
Perfecto!
