Donatella loves Lindsey Wixon. You can see in a video somewhere. I really am not happy with the Versace cast, but it is exactly what I expected.

I think Lindsey Wixson has a place there. Something about her works for Versace. I do agree it's way too many models - over 40 ! It would only make sense if it was one exit per model, but usually Versace does not go that way. Who knows. I wonder what the blue circles on some of the pictures mean ?

I also think Lindsey has a place there too. Not because I'm a blind fan or anything. It's because Donatella went CRAZY when Lindsey went to fittings last season, she got so in love with her. It's in that The Day Before documentary. Another thing is that Lindsey can pull off a sensual mood without getting too obvious. So yeah, "something" about her works for Versace.

I loved seeing Alla K there. I hope she gets into the show.

Things are changing at the Versace house... I guess Donatella really wants to push the brand into a youthful side. Not a bad thing actually... but I do feel that cast is a bit... well, inconsistent. Let's see how things turns out.

It was expected she would go for such a cast again. Nevertheless, I really find the choice a bit ... random? I don't see a kind of "strucutre" in it. It looks to me like they took the girls just arbitrarily ...
but well we'll see

As others already suspected that board is not the final Versace cast (About half or one-third were already cut), but the girls who make up the roster will all be from there.

Gah. And here I was hoping that with the likes of KK in Milan and walking shows, Versace wouldn't pass up that opportunity. Personally I think girls like KK suit the brand way more than kids like Lindsey W, as much as I like her.

I don't get the complaints about the Versace casting. Maybe i'm the only one who noticed that their last 2 collections were aimed at a much younger consumer. The casting should reflect this youthful feel they're after. It's not about what Versace was once...it's about what they're trying to be now. Take a look at their cast for the menswear show or 2 previous RTW shows, it's not like they've suddenly switched it up this season.

Definitely. The latest cast at the menswear show was far from the normal Versace aesthetic. Donatella is simply targeting a new image.

Honestly, where are the Asian girls in Milan? Plenty in town and five of them huge names, but absolute no-shows at Gucci, Fendi, Prada, Moschino, and now Versace...I know Liu Wen is doing something else today, but the overall track record is honestly ridiculous, especially after their strong showings in NY.

I didn't hate Versace show, it was no better or worse than a lot of shows. It was just very boring and uninspiring. Wish more shows looked like Gucci, alas, they don't.

But where did Suvi come from? Didn't realize Donatella liked her THAT much. But boy oh boy, if there is one person I don't miss seeing on the runway it's her. Girl CANNOT walk. Even after all these years, she still walks like a linebacker. Yikes.

but I'm positive suprised by this cast! better than I though actually (although there were still faces I wouldn't have like to see e.g Carla G., Caroline or Sara )
It may be also a matter of taste but I don't think these girls are Versace.. although .. I mean, what is the Versace DNA nowadays ?
