NYLON has been awful lately. Christina, Sienna, Ashley Olsen...

Seriously, Charlotte Gainsbourg should have gotten the cover last month. I kind of have a list of people who I'd like to see on their cover: Zooey Deschanel, Irina, Lily Allen, America Ferrara, Clemence Poesy just for their quirky personalities... Guess Hollywood Fakes like LiLo, Sienna sell more magazines.

I agree, Christina deserves her success with her talent but her being on a NYLON cover just seemed odd.

Ew. I was just about to resubscribe to Nylon, but i now i'm going to wait a month or two and see if Nylon's cover choices recover...

Can someone tell me is Marvin Scott Jarrett has always been the chief editor at Nylon or has he taken over just recently? Because the cover choices have been getting horrible ever since a year or so ago.

Can we all just write to the editor and get him back in line? But he probably won't care...

He has always been the editor. Its just recently that he has become very interested in the younger LA scene.

Some of his recent bad choices haven't just reflected the LA scene though. Sienna, Christina, and company have all been mainstream darlings that Nylon typically strays from, and to me, that divergence was part of the magazine's biggest appeal. I'd actually prefer the LA scene to these girls. If I wanted popstars and Lindsay Lohan, I'd buy Elle and CosmoGirl.

His cover choices may not be reflecting his LA obsession, but the cory kennedy column.... the LA issue.... etc. Directing CK for a good charlotte music vid.. if he could put cory on the cover he would...and he might.
