Pale Or Tan...

I've had the wall white skin as a kid and it was good and fine then I got really burnt one time on vacation in Boracay and after it evened out I found this nice glow....

Right now though I'm too tan from falling asleep by my pool 2 weeks ago. :ninja:

I dont have a preferance on people it all depends on who cuz some people just look better with paler skin and some with tans...

I hate the overly tan/orange fake look. I've done the Mystic tan before and I never looked like that...those are addicts I tell ya...

I used to tan all the time, lay out for hours, then, I stopped for a few months, because I became aware of all the things my mum used to tell me about skin aging...but lately, I've been fake baking a lot, and the orangey undertone is more visible :ninja: , but not that bad

I  the pale skin + dark hair look (I'm also like that myself   )

so yeah I prefer fair skinned over tanned.
(but not overly paleeeeeee  )

I like being tan, it rarely happens (lack of time) but I feel thinner & healthier looking.

I like slightly tanned

I saw this tshirt & thought i was cute & fits the topic

On women I prefer pale/porcelain, on men I prefer tanned/olive skin :flower:

I like both. But as i'm naturally tanned i'll say I prefer taned. :flower:
i think it also depends where u live.. it'll be quite strange to be extremely pale here, wont look normal. i also have to admit porcelane skin does looks
really good with dark hair.B)

i used to love tans so much like really dark tans exotic looking!

but now i must admit i love pale skin with dark hair! to me it looks really classic:heart:

I'm actually the whitest person in the world. And I absolutely wouldn't change that for the world. My dad has my skin as well and he looks about fifteen years younger than he is, everyone's always really shocked to find out how old he is, while my mom is darker and used to lie outside tanning almost every day, and well, it shows. She's tan and freckled which looks kinda weird, while my dad and I are completely spot-free. I love my skin. And pale guys are hot too! I mean compare Hayden Christensen's tanorexic look in Star Wars to his super pasty Toronto skin in everyday life. There's no comparing really ..

i  being tan and i loveee tanning beds , i know its so bad

ya but i prefer tan guys....... being in san diego where its always hot helps ^_^

I used to lay out when I had the time in high school and college, though I always wore sunblock while doing it. Probably defeated the purpose... but I did avoid getting burnt.

Just this past year, I've lost all concern for tanning. I'm not super pale, but I'm naturally white and I'm sticking with it.

I find it odd that white people want to be tanner, while in some places like India, the people (especially women) go through bleaching techniques to appear lighter/whiter. The grass always seems to be greener.

I'm blonde with very pale, slightly freckled skin, and I don't like it...

I find that I feel thinner/prettier/get MUCH more attention from guys when I'm tan.

However, my skin does not tan, and I'm afraid of cancer/wrinkles/aging. Soooooo I use sally hansen spray tan a few times a week on my body, and then apply a darker shade of foundation/bronzer to my face. I use Lorac sheer wash lip/cheek stain across my nose and cheeks and on my shoulders and upper chest to look like I've got a very faint sunburn.

It's a lot of work, but I feel that it leaves me with the best of both worlds-- I get more tan while at the same time wearing spf 45 year round. Plus, if I ever want to be pale, I can just hop in the shower and exfoliate like crazy.

I'm attracted to guys who are tan. And pale. And gorgeous. mmm

I am lucky my father has dark brown skin and my mom is slightly paler, as a result I am more of a tan mixture, but in the summer I get a reddish with a hint of orange tan, in the winter i am more of a settled tan not dark nor light..I am happy with my skin colour, but the funny thing is, when i was younger i was as white as cotton , growing up i started to become darker...whereas my sister when she was young she was darker and now she is white...guess its genetics...

Some people aren't white and don't have much of a choice. :innocent:

Ha ha! Dito! I love my brown skin. I think people look best in their natural skin color in general IMO.
