Me ex had a Monroe, and it looked really hot... again im not the best person to ask about this, im about to get stretched 22mm eyelet piercings :ninja:

Same here..not a good person really cuz I got my tongue done not giving a damn bout anyone else and its good that I can hide it easily, but a monroe can be hidden for things like work and formal ocassions...

some piercings suit people really well some don't...if it suits her and makes her happy then its all good. :flower:

I have two piercings on my own, a belly-button (got it when I was 15) and a labret (got it when I was 16)....here's a pic....

Extreme piercings generally gross me out a bit, but I do think more subtle ones can be nice. I rather like nose rings myself, although it really wouldn't suit my face. The extent of my adventurous piercings is the stud at the top of my ear... ;)
By the way, has anyone seem these before? I've been noticing them lately and I think they actually look pretty good on certain people. :flower: http://www.yongesttattoos.com/images/pierc...elanie/mel5.jpg

My bfs sister has that done! She has many more too..I only like pircing on certain ppl..but she is def. a person that looks great w. them!

I don't like eyebrow piercings or labret piercings, but there are others that I think can look pretty cool. I like teeny tiny nose piercings, especially (only?) if you have a cute nose (which I don't, so that's out). I have only met one person who could carry off a tongue piercing properly, and only because you couldn't tell she had it at all unless you talked to her for a long time (took me weeks!).

I like facial piercings on punk sorts of people. Certain people in general can really pull them off, but others look plain trashy.

I used to have thirteen piercings in my ears and a stud in my nose, but after a while I got sick of the look. It was just too much, and facially didn't suit me.

I had my nose pierced in January... of 2003. it pulled out in my sleep last march and closed up completely overnight. AFTER A YEAR! I was soo mad, I loved it. So small and dainty... just a bit of sparkle.

Yeah that's what I was talking about! Its usually called a Monroe (after Marilyn's mole)

I have to say that an eyebrow piercing is my least favorite facial piercing, next to a lip piercing. I've never understood the placement. A tiny barbell is much better than a ring though.
If YOU enjoy it keep it as long as you like. Don't let something like this define you, your personality should do that. I don't think it's necessarily a "punk" look and has actually lost the original shock value it once had. I went through this years ago and had 4 gauge ears, tongue and um, others, but have since taken them all out. I don't even wear earrings anymore. I don't regret ever having done it either. I think it's definitely a rite of passage for some people and you should enjoy it.
BTW-I think MsDiorella's monroe looks v. good on her.

I've been getting the urge to get my nose pierced lately. I wonder if I'll ever actually do it...

I had to take my eyebrow piercing out. :( It got infected.

It was nice while it lasted... but now I can go to interviews without worrying about taking it out, or if they see the hole, etc.

I'm sick of it I thought it was all rigth a few years ago, but now too many people have it. :(

yes, i have one, its called a monroe...or a madonna which ever you prefer.

I love piercings, i love the experience of getting pierced, the nerves excitment etc.

I have a few piercings i won't go into them all but my visable ones are....

nostril, monroe, lobes at 0 gauge ( 8mm ), and a helix (top of ear cartilidge)

i take mine out if needs be, i love my piercings its not a rebelion thing, its just a thing i've always loved, a lot of people don't like it but theres nothing wrong with that, we all have our different views.

:flower:

No offense, but I think anything more than the ears looks dumb. I don't like chin, nose, the "monroe" thing, bellybutton, none of it.
