I know of a good reputable salon, so I guess that would be okay.
However, that's really interesting re. earlobe structure...when I wear hoops, I have the opposite problem, they face outwards and look kind of "wide"; that bothers me...I thought it would be resolved if I pierced the ears, but maybe not...we'll see...
what would have been easier if the initial pair were a proper metal?
I suppose it depends on whether the clips are distorting the natural set of your ears/lobes.
Earrings that aren't all gold cause a huge amount of irritation for me, so trying to heal the piercings with irritating cheap earrings in the mix wasn't ideal ...
And btw I have worn clip-on earrings back in the day for a big dramatic look
and found the vast majority sooo painful!!! One day in a bad pair of clip-ons is far more painful than getting your ears pierced. And I am very sensitive to pain ...The other thing is, if your initial pair of earrings have extra-large posts, I wouldn't plan on wearing them past the initial healing period.
