Prada Mens S/S 09 Milan

Omg this is SOOO horrible. It looks really uncomfortable and too gay looking for me. I would burn those yellow jackets at the start but they'll probably put a huge hole in the ozone layer.

Some gorgeous coats and jackets

Overall isn't as special as FW08-9 and generally boring  and unexceptional.

I don't think Miuccia likes to degrade men at all. If you take the collection as a whole there are so many practical and well-fitted pieces to wear. Even the rubber(?) jacket is completely rockin'. I am so excited to see any of this in stores.

Is there a part of the world where gay men are identified by wearing off the shoulder jackets and skorts? Rubber yes, but jackets with a plunging neckline and sweaters that look like you stuck them in the dryer?

Isn't the stereotype that we have good fashion sense?

Haha. Yes? I remember I read a little blurb in GQ once with the title "Not All Gay Men Are Fashionable." I was like, is this for real?!

Love this collection.
I love how the clothing drapes over the models bodies. I especially like the half zipped up jackets.

Apart from the bra strap? and that sweater that showed your belly button, I kinda like it

the day had eventually to come when i'd be unable to appreciate a prada collection... even last show ended up growing on me... but this is, i think, too much.
i can say i like the longer coats, and those, i truly/fully love... the rest is, needless to say, unfitted, unflattering, unimaginative... the ugliest jeans i have seen in ages!
i'm intrigued by this way of subjecting the jackets to the back of the neck ...façon halter?.... at least c'est different!

I don't get the point of a collection like this. It's neither couture, nor is it wearable. utterly pointless.

FINALLY!!!! A Prada collection that I like the first time I see it and not months later. I love that rubber jacket. I like pretty much everything except some of those sweaters.

I gotta say, I do love some of the coats, including the rubber one. Some of the pieces are way too feminine (not as much as last season, but still) but there are pieces here and there that I think work. It reminds me a littttle bit of Raf Simons' F/W 08/09 collection.

I can't wait to see the shoes.

I can honestly say I have never in my life been let down by prada. Now I'm not saying that I could ever pull off any of it here in America; however, The collections that are presented are always so experimental and modern. Muccia has a way of raising very important questions in people and she is also great with plays on good/bad taste. That's what I like, she is very modern. I guess you could call her a performatist, which is great, because anything post-postmodern makes me weak in the knees.

Miuccia continues her travel on the epicene highway. A lot of this collection seems to play off the rounding of the shoulders, en extension and addition to last season's gender reverses. I am completely smitten with Prada this season.
