Project Runway Season 2

Santino's collection was really beautiful, too, and I was totally expecting him to win...BUT if I didn't know that was his collection, I never would've guessed! He definitely seemed to be going on the safe side, no matter how much he was trying to talk his way out of that. It just wasn't Santino style as compared to the previous shows. I really love these dresses (bravotv.com:(

Do you think it shows that fashion is a little off base with regular people that Santino won the voting and Chloe lost, yet she is the winner? I would have gone with Daniel, I just don't know if Chloe can pull it off for real.

I wasn't wild about any of them. At all. Santino found religion at the last minute and sent down something that wasn't in line with his sensibilities, it looked like he caved in, even if it was just a newfound maturity. Daniel...just...well...'japanese sleekness and military' just doesn't cut it. Oddly enough, the thing I liked most were his bags. Kudos to Chloe for working that tough industrial fabric into back bearing beauties. Her model looked stunning. I wish there were more of a consistent silhouette, I loved her work with volume, that was the way to push it. Instead, it went long, short, thin, poofy. Hair was terrible. Has anyone been able to load Kara's show? From what I've seen in pics...hers was the best.

and remember...Derek Lam trained under Kors before he started his own line so Daniel is going to be soooo much better off. You pick...work at BR or with Kors and get REAL design experience.

Santino should work with Mcqueen

I think Daniel already works for Marc Jacobs. There are pics of him at the company xmas party on the MJ site. At first I thought because there were the usual celbs there maybe he was a celb guest but no one else from the show was there, not even Heidi.

suprisingly i actually liked Kara Janx's runway show. It reminded me a little bit of Jay's last year, but I think only because of the headpeices and the bright colors, but based on what Kara had done during the whole season she really suprised me at Fashion Week!!

I loved Chloe's collection, but after seeing it on TV and not just still photos, I didn't think it was as "woman friendly" as the judges kept saying. The curved seams were gorgeous, but I felt that at any moment a boob might pop out of one of the dresses, particularly these. Does any one else agree? The still photos do not illustrate this as well as the video did.

I must confess iwas shocked by how safe Santino show was. I thought that Chloe show looked homely. The fabric was cheap looking. It lack the innovation that is expected at fashion week. The best dress was the babydoll with the pockets. She seem to work with pressure it make her a better designer. They beat the fight out of Santino, I think. I wasn't a Santino fan. I LOVE NICK!!!

I thought Santino should have won because of his creativity (even though his collection was tame, his previous designs were wild and different) and his enormous potential. Dan and Chloe are good designers, but that's the thing... just another designer.

From the episode I got the impression that Nina wanted Santino to win...

By the way, can anyone tell me why Debra Messing was a judge? Hm. It's like having Barney the Purple Dinosaur come on... just for celebrity presence.

Faith, thanks for answering my question.

I must state my opinion one more time that I was very underwhelmed by all the 3 shows. I was expecting something more Galliano/Mc Queen from Santino, but its was so boooooooring. Daniel had no story, you know? Like someone mentioned here looked like a portifolio.
Although I was not impressed by Chloe's throughout second season, i think her show was good.

I was rooting for Daniel the whole season and when I met him last sunday i told him i hope he would win he said " thank you but i cant tell you " haha

Oh well, they are gonna do the casting of season 3 this month ) Cant wait for season 3 hehe

i think santino was robbed, throughout the whole season he was the most interesting and innovative of the designers...sure his runway show was "tame" but that is because he was trying to show he can evolve and mature as a designer....daniel's collection was too mainstream and did not reflect much of his personality in my opinion and chloe's collection was very impressive but it left me with a sense of something missing...i do think daniel did do an amazing job nonetheless, all of them did, they are all talented, but Santino should have won because his style and expression is different, i felt he could have brought a fresh addition to the fashion world whereas chloe won't...just my opinion

Look closely when they replay the finale. The model's boob did come out of the Gold Halter Dress w/ pockets, and it was blurred out.

not necessarily. IF Santino stuck to his outrageous designs to the end he would've won. Instead he played it safe (like what the judges pointed out) and made his collection the same level as Chloe's and Danny V's. If he separated his creation from the two he would've edge them out.

However, I agree with Tim Gunn... Santino's collection is made for couture of Bergdorfs.

Correction on previous post: it is CFDA and not CDFA ^_^

debra messing was on because bravo and nbc are owned by the same company.

i wish santino had more for sale besides t shirts.

I emailed the address for santino so maybe he can make his collection for special order!

I love Kara's! Too bad we didn't get to see the whole show, that was kinda misleading. I didn't know she got to show.
