Project Runway Season 3

The "everyday woman" imo next week will be Martha Stewart.
Her line at Kmart is called "everyday wear".
Her tv show is owned /produced by Trump Prods. which is owned by same company as ProjRun.
Already, Trump's daughter has been on the show and Trump's pageant- Miss Universe.

I think that if it is Martha Stewart I may never watch that show again. Oh man, you explained it very logically and now it sounds like it could defintaly be that. Dangit.
There goes another one of my favorite shows....

I personally like Martha :p so I think she will be fun but maybe that's just me!

I just can't stand her but I respect your opinion.
What is it you like about her? Just out of curiosity.

I would love if Martha Stewart was the guest judge! I'm sure she'd be harsh (some designers need it). Oh! That would be so cool!

Jeeez! I think the past 3 weeks people on tFS have guessed correctly on either the judges or the challenges. Martha Stewart makes sense to me. But thats getting so far from high fashion I can't tell if I'll like it. I like Martha, but as a judge of fashion design? Not so much.

She is a strong, empowered, self-made woman who got knocked down and made a symbol of/punished and yet, she came back stronger^_^

^ I can see what you admire about her,
but what about what she did to get knocked down. That wasn't admirable.
But this is a PR3 thread, not the Martha Stewart thread. :D

Yes, it is...I tend to think our society punishes strong women for things that would be admired in men and in her case, her punishment was perceived to be extreme and she rolled with the punches and proved herself to be unbreakable.
Just my thoughts since you asked;)
Now back to PR...:innocent:

Martha Stewart would proabably love Laura. :p

Love her? I think she would ADOPT her!

I am still so not over Alison being gone. I didn't care for her dress, but I liked her and thought she was fun to watch. Wish she could have made it just a bit farther.

^ Same, I love Alison! Have you seen her Dahl clothing line? :flower:

guys, off topic. isn't this heidi's dress when she first met the designers from the last episode? roberto cavalli fw06 (vogue):

much much better on the runway.

I thought it might be their mother's. I don't know why. The silhouette looked rather large. But whomever suggested Martha Stewart might be on the mark. they did leave that clip in of Jeffrey keeping a Martha Stewart magazine, and we all know that bravo likes to cross-promote.
Jackie from WorkOut got her haircut by Jonathan on BlowOut last year.

Allison does sound bitter and making it out that the producers were trying to get her by giving her bad models. Her model was not fat. Alexandra worked with Michael as well and he wasn't in the bottom...:innocent:

None of the models are "fat" but during the dog challenge, I noticed then that when she wore Michael's tight brown dress, her behind shot was not flattering.

Yes, but his dress was amazing and he wasn't even in the top 3.
Would he have been had he had Nazari? Perhaps.

I doubt it. That dress was about emphasizing Alexandra's curves. It wouldnt have looked as good on Nazri, who has a different built.
HOWEVER, I have no doubt that Michael would have made a different dress that emphasized Nazri's best features if he had Nazri for that challenge. Cause that is the kind of designer he is. You know, the type who doesnt complain and just makes a woman look good no matter what SIZE she is. (I wish I can say the same about Alison :innocent: )

I truly believe she was larger. Both she and Tim discussed this as a problem in the workroom before she was eliminated so it wasn't sour grapes, it was what was real.
I liked the article...I think its refreshing to have someone really give us the inside track and not just "play nice".

I dont care what size she was. Frankly I believe Alexandra WAS a size 8. But so what?

It's a competition. You are suppose to deal with the hand you are dealt. Alison was not the first designer to have a sh*tty model on the show and she wont be the last. She is however the first one I can remember who complained so loudly about it in regards to her auffing.

As much as I loved Allison I do have to say that once I wached the show again I do agree that maybe she should have thought about her model's body more. She herself did say that her model had no waist and that she was bigger - her dress would have looked completly different on a slimmer frame.

Oh and the Martha Stuart challenge seems like it would be pretty boring - seems very similar to the I.N.C. challenge which involved in a way the "every woman"

I am keeping my fingers crossed that we will all get to say Auf Wiedersehen to crazy Vincent - but with his crazy luck I doubt that will be the case :(

I don't understand! Sure, her dress wasn't the best one out there, but gawwd, there were some that were much much worse! :innocent:*cough* Kayne!*cough*Vincent!*cough*. I'd rather look like a fat minnie mouse than be in a dress I couldn't walk in or a dress with splattered green paint. I like minnie mouse :O

The poor model...super skinny, and everyone is calling her large and fat?! That girl is probably a size 2! I thought PR was better than this!

I actually liked Alison's origami corset- I hated the skirt. The only "Minnie Mouse" element was the hair. I will be honest...the dress was not flattering. But it didn't exactly make the girl into the elephant man, like Heidi was acting.

YAY Michael!!! Keep on winning, to the end, please!!
