I don't know anything about Fernanda's brother (I didn't even know she had one), but I read it somewhere long time ago, that her father was a singer and she traveled a lot around Brazil, accompanying him on the tours... The article suggested that he was famous, though, I'm not sure... Obviously, I can't say if it's true or not. Only that that's what I read.

We are talking about Mona Johannesson, right? She was discovered by an IMG scout at a horse event when she was 14, I'm positive she was never in any modeling competition. I'm also positive that Mikas used to list her as 5'7 before she made a name for herself.

I first heard about Mona Johannesson about a year-and-a-half about, when one of modeling/fashion website announced her as a winner of some contest... I'm no longer sure that was a contest she herself was taking part in, though, at the time, I had such inpression... But, it could as well have been some kind of those "most inpressive new face" thing where people vote for models... And she's got most of the votes... In other words, I'm not 100% sure she knew she was involved, anymore... Though, once again, I had such impression at the time...

Such long time since, it would be from extremely difficult to impossible for me to find that website... Though... I might try finding it one day, when I have absolutely nothing else to do (though, when tFS is up and running, it's totally unlikely )

Anyways, they listed her at 5'8... I clearly remember that. I was impressed that such a short girl made it best. And, apparently, she's even shorter... I never checked her agency's web-site (she's a cute girl, but not the one I have a real interest for), so I'm relying on the info I got from that website I mentioned above, only...

I remember someone in one of those height/models who aren't that tall threads said that, when asked how tall she is in person, she tells the truth, and that is below 5'7, so, yes, it can be that she says she's 5'6 or 5'6,5, though I had an impression that what she herself says was even shorter... Dunno, maybe it's because 5'6,5 doesn't make much difference to 5'7... And 5'6 is not like too short with so many models being around that height (according to the insiders)... Anyways, I just always thought of Mona being the shortest girl there is...


As to Sasha, I don't know what she tells people about her height, I only read one interview with her, where she wasn't talking about her height at all. I just know, that when she first appeared she was listed at 5'10. I'm not talking about agencies's websites, I'm talking about unofficial sources such as magazines that have features on new faces and such... When she got signed to IMG, they listed her at 5'8.5, I believe...

That would be very interesting to find that thread, cause I believe the opposite! That it was AlmostFamous, who said that when she worked in Milan, her agency provided her and other models with new comp cards and they all had different heights listed (to the height each of them were).

It would be interesting to hear it all once again from AlmostFamous herself.


p.s. Sorry for such a long post... I hate long posts myself... It's just that I'm not too articulate, I guess, cause non of that info I posted is first hand, but it was gathered from all over...

I can't find the post, but there is evidence in simply going to the Milan agency sites, particularly www.whynotmodels.com

Okay, I checked that website... Obviously, I don't know anything about most of those girls... But, talking about the big faces...

Natalia Vodianova is listed at 177cm [5'10 in.], which she is clearly NOT. I'm sure she's no taller than 5'7 1/2.

Hana Soukupova is listed at 181 cm [5'11], which, by the way, creates a little errow, cause 181 makes 5'11 1/2, and 5'11 is 180 cm. However, I read it somewhere that she's actually taller in reality... something like 183 cm., which makes 6'0... or even taller than that.

Polina Kouklina is listed at 176 cm [5'9], which is also an errow as 176 is 5'9 1/2 and 5'9 is, in fact, 175 cm. In reality, she's not taller than 5'8, I'm sure.
