"State of the body" means that it was so decomposed from not being found that cause of death wasn't readily apparent. Or even his identity, in this case That's pretty bad. Could be natural causes, could be foul play - decomp can hide a lot of injuries.

What?!! I love him, and can't see him doing that. WOW.....I guess when people are grieving, they do things that they would not normally do.

If they found his body in a decomposing state he must have been dead for at least a week or two. (depending on if there was any foul play or not, and conditions of his home, such as temperature, or if he has any pets in which they could take advantage of his body, like eating him. etc etc.)

anyway . . . i think this actually sounds like an episode of CSI or one of those shows. . the paparazzi getting murdered by a big star.
