Sabato De Sarno - Designer, Creative Director of Gucci

The gowns are beautiful but they have this very strong Elie Saab / prom night demodè look with the sheer capes paired with feathers.
It's a huge improvement from last years' Gucci Ancora Notte fiasco collection.
Those mini bamboo clutches are divine but they were shown so poorly in the fashion show back in September, the models back then were holding them covering the circular handle detail, which is the most interesting part of the bag itself.

The fact that Kering picked him and keeps for that long really makes you wonder what kind of luck they had hiring Michele. They didn't deserve the man. He was a godsent next to Sabato. Gucci was exciting and full of ideas before. Sure it was derivative and it got gimmicky but at least it had a strong point of view. Now it's just a huge bland mess. What are they doing ? Why did they let go of Alessandro again ?

About Kering: from the top of my head:
-you change the name from PPR to Kering
-you put Hedi at the helm of Saint Laurent
-you put Alessandro at the helm of Gucci
-you put Demna at the helm of Balenciaga

This is not "having luck", this is "devouring and leaving no crumbs".

sooo smart to hire your friend you know from Prada/Miu Miu that just been at Givenchy a brand that was dead for the last years with no communication high points to speak of .......great CV after the other recent hire from loro piana shirtless on ig makes the other 2 clowns that left Alessio and Benjamin seem like professionals :stuart::innocent:

You forgot to mention Cedric Murac, that merchandising / image manager who did absolutely nothing during his tenure (while still getting his 6 figures salary) since Sabato pushed Zanola as artistic director leading to constant beef between Murac and Zanola LOL what a mess, Murac was pushing for a sexy Tom Ford-esque image while Zanola was all about elevated quiet luxury with a hint of quirkiness and intellectualism (aka pricer Zara)

Zanola is a mess...Another bad choice from ancora guy...

Very tongue in cheek to comment on her extensive experience and then follow by Givenchy which hasn’t been known for any good communication since Tisci
