Shoes: Yay or Nay? #2

Well you know sometimes you don't feel like going out, you just want to play dress up with a pretty dress and a pair of high heels.

Okaaaaayy... as this thread has gone totally off topic...

I'm wondering if anyone can yay/nay these please. I've got Tribute sandals in quite a few colours and varieties already, initially didn't like these but keep going back to the page so I guess something's captured my imagination.

Can anyone convince me either way?!

Post #222 features high-heel platform sandals with animal print designs. I say that very few shoes can actually look great with animal prints. It would be an absolute yay without the prints, but it's a Yay! to me. Some would probably say this isn't very stylish or too (exotic dancer)-esque, but it's pretty cool for what it is. It's a sexy pair of sandals with some wild character. Show that you're queen of the Sussex jungle with these platforms, rosalynn!

so i was totally behind and did not know this moved to a new thread. anyway, i like these e&j shoes. so yay or nay? im debating btwn these or the infamous sam edelman balenciaga knock offs that come out in august. one of these will be my bday present from the bf TIA! oh and ps - ive always been looking for black wedges too

You're wanting a pair of black wedges? I'd stay away from these (big time Nay!). The wedge shoes look like someone ripped up the front of the shoe and secured the shoes from doggone near being ripped apart totally with six straps. Go ahead and defend these, I don't give a damn. Those are terrible.

As for the other shoes, looks like you got some... I guess you can call them wedge booties. As for these... big time Yay! Question I have for those... are those shoes see-through on the sides? Interesting pair of booties, but 1,000 times better looking than those ripped-beyond-recognition wedges.



Nay wedges, yay booties. If I had to pick, I'd go with the booties and send those wedges to a trash incinerator.

Wow, I wasn't hoping the votes for the Tribs to be quite so unanimous, thought the leopard print might put people off! I'll add them to my shopping list then - thanks as always for voting, even if the result will cost me the best part of £400 haha

M4ry3b4- I like the ones from Saks, but I like weird funky statement esoteric and exotic shoes. However, I say NAY to these because they have elastic straps which I understand for fitting, but I think sooner or later the elastic will streach out and not fit, so I do not think they will last well- especially at that price. I think they will last until fall when it is too cold to wear them and then you will have to buy a another pair next summer. They are too expensive to be "disposable?

I say YAY to the ankle boots. They are very yummy.

As I've stated once in the past, rosalynn (in response to Post #233), such designs like animal prints are better in moderation. Would I have given it so much credit had it been all covered in animal prints? Probably not. Some details (like fur) are better in moderation. Or at least, I prefer certain prints to be in moderation. But the shoes were overall romantic and also just hot! So good for you in getting these.

Good point John M! If they has leopard heels platforms they would look totally different and not as "pretty". Ok HOT!

Rosalynn- I think yay on the tributes. It's a classic and they are not the ubiquitous black. Yet still, being animal print, you have to really own it when you wear them and be careful about the rest of the outfit b/c animal can easily end up looking cheap/tacky/stripperish. i.e. probably don't pair them with your animal print skin tight minidress.

And m4ryb3ar - I think yay to both, but if you only want to pick one, it seems like you're more excited for the edelmans so I'd go with them.
