RastaFashion you're a god/goddess.
Hey, hey, slow down  I'm just a beginner... Story has been styled by the editor... But idea was mine  Anyway, thanks a lot for paying your attention...

Yes, I need a name of the editor! Well the complment is given, when a compliment is due, beginner or not!

.francesca, congrats! i'm glad i popped into this thread - i'm looking forward to seeing your work!

Hunny your ed stands out. I love how surreal it is, fragile but yet complex. It's somewhat interesting to look at. What's the idea behing the shoot? Grounded people? Balance? Intimacy? Freedom? My translation!

I agree with the above. It totally stands out. Congratulations again!

^ The images don't show up for me :(

Francesca ... this totally rocks!!!! :buzz:

For anyone who doesn't already know ... Being a winner in the Surface Magazine's annual "Avant Gaurdian" competition is about a prestigious as it gets for an emerging photographer. This is like winning an Oscar!!!

Congratulations!!!!

BTW ... that sure looks like a Holga you used for this editorial. Am I correct or were you able to get that effect by other means?

thanks sweetheart! i actually used a diana camera, which is essentially just like a holga, but older and, in my opinion, a "better" camera. i just like dianas better, they feel more stable to me, have less light leaks, are a bit easier to control (not in terms of the output, but in terms of the actual shape of the camera) and i've had better luck with dianas than holgas with the way my pictures come out. plus, my diana has sentimental value

but nope, no digital manipulation here. i'm 100% toy camera, DIY film freak

here she is, from allandetrich.com

Welcome to tFS, Rasta. Thanks for sharing. Hard to believe that you are a "beginner" .... it's really a nice layout.

Perfect .... the thanks should go to Tangerine ... he knew what to do to fix it, not me. :flower:

francesca ... I've never heard of a Diana ... but the results were beyond cool so you obviouly know what you are doing.

I have the only Holga in the world that does not have light leaks nor does it even have much distortion ... I'm bummed ... the pics all look like from my digital. I've threatened to beat it up to see what I can make it do. :winkiss:

BetteT if i wasnt for you taking on the mission the pictures wouldnt be up! However thanks a lot to Tangerine as well.
