My list has already dated since I wrote it on Sunday. All the time some smaller collection pops up and takes my heart.
OMG, I totally forgot Jil Sander in my list, and I loved it. I guess I'll add it to honorable mentions because I loved the colors, the sharpness and the shoes were to die for.Spike413 said:10 best
Narciso Rodriguez- perfectly displays how the armor trend can work in reality
Versace- classic Versace in the best sense. Lots of great daywear and beautiful evening dresses
Christian Dior- Interesting cuts and details, a good translation of the couture.
Lanvin- fresh, cool and modern. I love the new direction Elbaz took.
Balenciaga- the wearable pieces were very chic, the not so wearable were cool to look at
Hamish Morrow- beautiful dresses, shapes and materials
Balmain- it was tough, cool and right in line with what I'm into right now
YSL - I just liked it, not for any specific reason
Alexander McQueen- romantic, poetic and beautifully executed.
Alberta Ferretti- lots of very beautiful dresses in great colors
Honorable Mention
John Galliano- for producing chic suits and coats and striking evening pieces.
Undecided
Dolce and Gabbana- I honestly can't make up my mind with this one. It's a love/hate kind of thing.
10 Worst
Calvin Klein- kind of a let down
Chanel- seen it all before, and sequin tap pants are never a good thing
Donna Karan- too loose
Louis Vuitton- prettiness makes me want to gag
Prada- I'm still unclear on what that was
Roberto Cavalli- I had high hopes considering last season, they were brutally smashed to pieces.
Viktor and Rolf- there were one too many stars for my liking
Chloe- yawn
Emanuel Ungaro- garish beyond words
Christian Dior- yes, I liked the clothes, but it was way too safe and I felt something close to apathy which I have never experienced from a Galliano show.
