Just got back from H&M. I returned a dress for a store credit & got...

Navy full skirt (high paperbag style tie waist) with pockets
White blouse with red pin dots (on sale for $5.00)

The whole look is very Audrey Hepburn.

i have seen none of that stuff above :(

only this:

I saw some purple silky cropped pants... the style is kind of like sweats with a wide elastic waist band & elastic at the ankle & pockets. Im not sure what Id wear them with but Im attracted to them lol.

Yesterday at the Haussmann Paris store, I saw lots of new items featured in the F/W look-book and on Nitrolicious, like the sweater below

^the kaki green frilly dress

All pics from nitrolicious.com

I also spotted a black velvet "devoured" mini dress with puffy long sleeves, high neck.

all those clothes look stunning on the models. but if I would wear them... like the models do... :ninja: oh dear

wings- yeah, the models make ANYTHING look good though, that's the thing. Just cos it's styled professionally. Often, especially i've noticed this in American Apparel, they pin the clothes to make them look more flattering. They also make the models do weird poses to make them look better... Rarely does something look as good on a normal person than the model

ahh, i bought two great garments outta H&M today. seriously, this shop never fails me! one was a fab striped oversized jumper (even though its july, you need this kinda stuff when living in edinburgh no matter the month!) and a black top with sequins going over the shoulder and the back, in black and gold, yas!

yeah I noticed that on a lot of shop-window dummys.

I agree. And I really don't like their styling in ads and catalogues as well. It's always so over the top and just too much, it's so hard to make out the individual pieces sometimes. And the poses are ridiculus as well, as if they'd need you to do a circus number to make the cloth look good. I'm a regular at h&m but sometimes I'm really pissed off when I see the actual pieces in the store in comparison to what they make them out to be in ads.

And especially this season. They've layered so many things over each other that I can barely make out a single piece :/

I bought an incredible dress from H&M with a square neck, brass buttons and a lovely a line mini shape...but sadly the size 10 wouldn't even do up on me. I must stop eating so much! It was like the ultimate vintage dress....
