wings- yeah, the models make ANYTHING look good though, that's the thing. Just cos it's styled professionally. Often, especially i've noticed this in American Apparel, they pin the clothes to make them look more flattering. They also make the models do weird poses to make them look better... Rarely does something look as good on a normal person than the model

I am so astonished about the people who are ironing for H&M's photo sessions...

I bought an incredible dress from H&M with a square neck, brass buttons and a lovely a line mini shape...but sadly the size 10 wouldn't even do up on me. I must stop eating so much! It was like the ultimate vintage dress....

don't feel bad, their sizing is really stupid. i can never fit into size 6 and sometimes 8 there whereas in topshop size 6 fits me fine.

Thank god, that makes me feel slightly better...I have been berating myself since I tried that stupid dress on!

Me too! I thought it was just me.

Though oddly enough, I bought one of their shirts which admittedly was designed to be oversized, however my standard size (for non-H&M clothes) was STILL too big - so I went down 1-2 sizes.

H&M's sizings are seriously ALL over the place. I can wear anything from a 4 to a 10. I can't imagine buying anything without trying it on.

Oh, I never thought about it that way, but you're so right. They must be magicans.

I don't get their sizing either, I'm normaly fine with the black labeld womans-section, Trend is almost always too big while I always have to go up in size in Divided. And I once found some great jeans from L.O.G.G. but the 26 was huge and I ask the assistend if they made them smaller but she said no and told me that L.O.G.G. jeans are meant to fit "losely". Poor excuse because they looked really stupid that way. Well, there's really no need to feel bad about yourself just because they can't get the sizes right.

I have a simple heather gray tee (can't remember if it were the usual brand, trend or divided) but it's size large and fits perfectly for me. The medium was skin tight and was looking for something a bit looser and I didn't dare try on the small. Odd considering medium usually does the trick if I'm looking for a loose, drapy tee. I felt so big otherwise but then I tried on some other things and most of it was true to size or a bit too large.

Guess you really can't say "I'm a size x" anymore, noticed that in Zara and AA as well, the sizing is ridiculous for a few items

That's strange, I've been going to H&M for years and my size there is pretty consistant. Always a EU 34 of 36. Never bigger.

Ohhh those look lovely!, though is that a suede/velvet material in soles and the heel? Never been fond of that with weather ware I live, it's always snowing or slushy out and the suede or velvet always seems to adsorbs in the most unflattering matter.

Reminds me of a Seinfeld episode where Jerry buys that one expensive suede jacket and ruins it outside in the rain for an good impression for Elaine's father How I remember these things...

the lower part of the sole looks like patent (fake) leather. Better than completely suede. Don't know bout the heel. Love to have em anyway though.

Missyjg- Yeah, I so badly want those shoes.

I agree about sizing. In tops I can still fit into UK6 but in bottoms I sometimes have to buy a 10! No wonder all the 6s are always left in store...
