When I first saw the paper bag pants, I didn't like them at all...until I tried on the zimmerman paper bag shorts sand skirt, and i fell in

the skirt here looks great, too. but I'm considering investing on the shorts....

I'm 5'10" so imagine how excited I was when I found the perfect pair of dove grey, wide leg pants with a paper bag waist that are long enough for me!

They're lovely! And were on sale too!

essentially this is a trend that never took off imo...
looks awful on most people, so i'm not surprised...
and i'm actually really glad i don't have to see people trying to do this and looking terrible all the time...

This was somewhat popular in the 80s-- if only for a moment, wasn't it? Understandably, even the most desperate trendchasers didn't take to it. Makes everyone look silly-- like a clown. Even a slender waist would look huge because of the ballooning effect.
