The Style Channel

Good lord, Style has really eff'd up this time. I taped Fashion Mix last night which I think is taking over for Fashiontrance.

Instead of showing the fashion show with Style-generated music, now the original runway music is played (?) but on split-screen we're seeing the show and the music video side-by-side.

Yes, that means the runway part is 50% of the TV screen. Who cares about watching Methodman, I want to see the Heatherette show full screen, not this picture-in-picture crap.

Thats annoying.

I wish TFSers could take over the style network. Than it would have actual style on it and not "I'm leaving you if you don't cut your hair omigod im on tv look at my new fannypack while I hang out in a mall for 10 hours."

That channel irks me.

I love the style channel but I don't get to watch it unless I'm at someones house who has it! lol! I love the look for less sometimes they do really good but it's fun to watch them try

I also miss 'Glow'- I used to sit in fron the tv with pen and paper.

They need more shows like that for clueless make-up people like myself.

Did everyone know Lynda Lopez is Jennifer's sister? Or was I the last to know?

I knew because she was on E! and they asked her how her sister was or something I was like what? Then I was like ohh...

I hadn't watched Fashiontrance in a while, and I figured with Fashion Week coming up, they would show some fall 2004 shows. I turned in last night and got that Fashion Mix crap. OH MY GOD!!! I couldn't believe what I was watching!! They got rid of all the cool tidbits about the designer/show and it's basically like MTV's Fashionably Loud.

I'm definitely writing a letter to Style/E. That show was the best thing about the network, since they've gotten rid of every other cool show (I don't think they show Behind the Velvet Rope anymore!)

I subscribe to the Fashion Channel here and there are some pretty fly programs which focus very specifically on the shows...

Millenium fashion - they pick a year, and show clips of all the prominent NY, London, Milan and Paris shows. It's not very insightful, but SO interesting, and provides great flash back material.

Raw - I LOVE THIS SHOW. It's Jeanne Bekker, at the shows - no hold barred. It shows everything - walking into the show, she points out who's who behind the curtain...she interviews (tries to interview), she gets snubbed (once by Mary Kate at the IOC show)...I love it, I can't catch it enough...

World Fashion Tour - The set up is usually 3-4 designers covered in the hour, and they play each show, music and all. (Right now, they've been airing most of the SS'05 shows).

Does the style channel air these as well?? I haven't heard any one say anything about them...??!

The only Fashion Television (Canadian) programming that Style shows are the 30 minute epsiodes with Jeanne.

You have the full 24 hr. Fashion Television channel? Those programs sound great. I wonder if that's only available in Canada. I get nothing fashion-related on DISH.

And ever since FTV (French) stopped its internet feed, I don't get that either.

^^ FT Channel is 24 hours, and it really is the only thing I watch now.

The shows get repeated over like a 5 day cycle, but for the most part, I don't catch everything the first time anyway, so it's kind of infused into my routine over the week.

There's this other show called 101 fashion mishaps - which airs very recent celeb fashion mistakes ...

and... oh, one Sunday, I didn't get out of bed b/c it was an ANTM marathon. ;)

I am so shocked to hear these aren't to be found in the states...I figured they were Amercan shows?! Maybe since Jeanne and Tim Blanks have their thumb on fashion broadcasting, somehow they are only aired here...?

I just looked on the website and recognized no cable or satellite providers in the US that carry it or any of the "specialty" channels. However when I lived in Boston I remember I did get Much Music on my cable.

What is going on with Fashiontrance? I don't see it in the schedule anymore. Stylenetwork is horrible!! I wish I could get Fashion TV. Direct TV does not carry that station in my area.

Style Network is showing 2007 spring Catwalk Shows!

Style network stop showing fashiontrance early this year. But its back!!!:D They have renamed the show "Catwalk Nightcap".

This week they are showing the runway shows for the Spring 2007 season. You can catch the shows schedule on stylenetwork.com. They have already showed the runway shows for Alice Roi, Baby Phat, Gortex, Nicole Miller and BGBC Max Azia last night. The next show is tonight at 2am and a rerun at 8am the next day. It will be different designers runway shows all this week
