The X-Factor 2009 ... Do not post stills from the show or Rex Features (copyrighted)

Lloyd over John & Edward?! (did anybody notice all the booing Lloyd got?) well, that's it, not watching the x-factor anymore. The only reason why i've been watching it was cos of the twins. They were entertaining, every time they came on, would put a smile on my face.I know they are not great singers but we all know you don't have to be a great singer to be a "pop star" .There rest of the guys may be good singers but i'm pretty tired of female/male solo artists, there's sooo many out there. Please get rid of Dannii Minogue and Cheryl Cole, bring Sharon back! .The x-factor is gonna be so boring now imo
Oh! how many number 1's does Danii Minogue have? :innocent:

Sharon? OMG have you seen her on America Got Talent... it can't get any boring... I don't like her she is very bitter...

I don't like Cheryl's attitude either... so full of herself... and yes, she can't sing... and her style this year is mad... I mean absence of style... she looks like a a mannequin from a posh shop...

I don't get where the cockyness is coming off from Cheryl. I don't see it really. With Simon and Louis chewing Dannii and Cheryl up, I wouldn't be surprised that they're more defensive. Louis is being extremely rude by saying that Lloyd needs to go. Seriously speaking, if this is a singing show then John and Edward should have gone a long time ago. I know Cheryl's said that before and that was rude of her but she's only said that once whereas Louis keeps on saying it every week. Funny how when Cheryl and Dannii say something thats critical to Danyl, Simon automatically villifies them and when something critical about Lloyd is said week after week, Cheryl being defensive is coming off as cocky.

Louis and Simon are the cocky ones. I love Stacey and Joe and I hope they get all the way to the end.

I just can't take Danyl. Always does the same screaming vocals with an underlying nasal tone. Pisses me off.

It was in all the papers today that the winners song is "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey... as sung by Joe a few weeks back.

ugh what an awful song choice. they can do better.
apparently the theme is elton john/madonna for saturday

It's Elton John/Take That week supposedly..

And next week it's now confirmed that Lady GaGa will perform Bad Romance, and Janet Jackson will be mentoring.

What? That can't be true! Worst song ever! Who is going to buy it?! Simon is so cheesy for god sake

Louis is being extremely rude by saying that Lloyd needs to go.
Him as a judge has all the right to say it. But the thing is, if Simon says it, it's fine but, if any other judge does (in this case Louis) it's rude  let's face it he's right. Lloyd should have gone instead.
yeah, i'm with u on the Danyl one, always singing songs with high notes and stuff, which may be his forte but, it's getting boring, can't stand him :yuk:

I don't think it's an awful choice for the winner's single really. It's a good song.. but realistically, if it is the actual choice and it is confirmed, then I'd imagine it's been chosen to ensure it goes the way they want it to. Olly doing Don't Stop Believing? Can't see it myself. I can however see Joe doing it, again, and Stacie doing it well..

The fact Olly was bottom two has really made me rethink how I think it's going to go, and the more I think about it, the more I think Joe's in with a shot. I think he's talented, like I've said before, but I think he lacks any real "pop star"ness, but a comment Louis said the other week has just sort of made me think? When he said "you could be like the British Michael Buble" I think if he won, that's exactly what they'd do with him, and I think he probably would be succesful if they did that with him.

I just don't think if Olly is getting less votes then Danyl, Stacie, Joe and Lloyd, that he stands a chance of beating any of them to win.

I think I'm right in saying Leona or Alexandra never ended up in the bottom two did they...?

I thought that they wanted a man to win this year, just to have someone different to market, but I didn't think we'd end up with only one girl left at this stage.

I think you could see early on that it didn't matter if Danyl doesn't come anywhere near winning, because Simon will take him away to the US and get him doing something there. There's a glint in his eye every time that boy's on stage. He's got plans for him that a phone vote result won't interfere with, because they're bigger and beyond this show.

I think if Danyl wins, then we know they've fixed something somewhere along the lines. There's the odd few people in this thread who liked him, but outside of this message board I actually do not know of one single person who watches X Factor, that likes him and would vote for him. It amazes me he's avoided the bottom two again.

Agreed thinking of it now:

Danyl is so overrated and for me is shoved down our throats too much its always about him. Everything about him is about drama and for me sometimes its almost like Simons saying "lets finish the competition and hand the crown to Danyl".

The whole thing with shaving his head and his over use of longnotes is ridiculeous to me its so damn dramatic he takes the competition too seriously he barely smiles when hes given critique by the judges atleast enjoy it.

But there's a sense of hypocrisy in that isn't there? If he's going to say Lloyd should go because he doesn't have good vocals, then guess who should have gone long before Lucy, Jaime, Rachel etc?

Simon's an *** as well, and I haven't said that he's nice but the job of the judges is to be constructive. And as much of an *** that Simon is, there is, in most cases, an underlying message and criticism in his comments. Whereas in Louis case, its just plain knocking the contestant.

AGREED. :flower:

I just can't stand him. I would never buy his album; who wants to hear a long nasal toned voice after every damn note?! :innocent:

I can't see in Simon's comments a underlying message and criticism , if he doesn't like an act he just says it (his way), he did it to the Mc Donald Brothers (back in 2006, he was horrible , makes Louis look an angel) where there was constructive criticism at all. Anyway it's a show at the end of the day, they only want to keep their own acts so they'll say anything which in some cases play as a tactic imo

He's my favourite, and pretty much everyone I know who watches X Factor votes for him every week...

We clearly have very different friends then... I personally cannot stand him, but I'd still expect to know someone who liked him, but I don't know of anyone who would. It was the same last year with that guy who was also called Daniel! Everyone seemed to hate him, I knew no-one who liked him at all, and yet still he stayed around..

sorry i've had internet problems so im late with the update anyway the show started a few minutes ago and tonight the contestants will sing 2 songs and Danyl and Lloyd are the first to sing:

Danyl - did a complicated routine but pulled it off and was a great way to open the show

Lloyd - good but not great but girls love him
