New little bizzaro tidbit:

If Cruise and Katie Holmes wed, each of his wives will have been eleven years younger than the last. (Mimi Rogers, b. 1956; Nicole Kidman, b. 1967; Katie Holmes, b. 1978)

At least little Dakota is safe, she was born in 1994

. . . .Girls born in 1989. . . you're next!! :ninja:

 That's great!

Man the W interview was seriously freaky! When they asked her if she was still friends with Chris Klein she was like "Yeah we talk once in a while...Tom is amazing"! I mean, was that really neccessary?

Of course. . .if she doesn't mention Tom Cruise every 15 seconds she gets zapped by one of her minders. . . think of the poor girl.

I remember in some other interview they were like "So, what was it like to kiss Christian Bale?" and she said "Tom Cruise is the best kisser, the best one I've ever had." and then later "How did you get along with the other actors on the set" to which she replied "Tom Cruise and I get along so well, we're practically best friends now." :alien:

From Wikipedia:

The central beliefs of Scientology are that:
  • a person is an immortal spiritual being (termed a thetan) who possesses a mind and a body, accompanied by a lesser "genetic entity";
  • that the thetan has lived through many past lives, stored memories of which can cause problems in the present day;
  • and that a person is basically good, but is "aberrated" by the memories of past traumas.
Scientology claims to offer an exact methodology to help a person achieve spiritual and ethical education, awareness, and improvement, so that he or she may achieve a level of spiritual purity as well as greater effectiveness in the physical world. The ultimate goal of Scientology is to "rehabilitate" the thetan, restoring its superhuman abilities to control "matter, energy, space and time" (MEST).

Auditing

The central practice of Scientology is called "auditing," (from the Latin audire,"to listen"), which is one-on-one communication with a Scientology-trained counselor or "auditor." The auditor follows an exact sequence of commands, as set out by Hubbard, to "clear" the reactive mind. Utilizing a biofeedback machine known an an "E-meter", the process is intended to help a person to unburden himself of specific traumatic incidents, prior ethical transgressions and bad decisions that collectively restrict the person from achieving their goals

Operating Thetan Levels and the Xenu incident

The "Hidden Truth" about the nature of the universe is taught to the most advanced Scientologists in a series of programs known as the Advanced Levels or Operating Thetan levels (eight in all), for which the initiate needs to be thoroughly prepared. These are the levels above "Clear," and their contents are held in strict confidence within Scientology. The highest level, OT VIII, is only disclosed at sea, on the Scientology cruise ship Freewinds. However, since being entered into evidence in several court cases beginning in the mid-1980s, synopses and excerpts of these secret teachings have appeared in innumerable publications.

In the OT levels, Hubbard describes a variety of traumas commonly experienced in past lives. He explains how to reverse the effects of such traumas by "running" various Scientology processes. Among these advanced teachings, one key episode that is revealed to those who reach OT level III has been widely remarked upon in the press: the story of Xenu, the galactic tyrant who stacked hundreds of billions of his frozen victims around Earth's volcanoes 75 million years ago before blowing them up with hydrogen bombs and brainwashing them with a "three-D, super colossal motion picture" for 36 days. The traumatised thetans subsequently clustered around human bodies, in effect acting as invisible spiritual parasites known as "Body Thetans" that can only be removed using advanced Scientology techniques.

. . .and that's when it starts to get Reeeallly weird in my opinion. . .There is a lot more to it. . but basically it was created by L. Ron Hubbard a science fiction writer during the 1950s.

It is often criticized as a cult, because members are often coerced into give large amounts of money into the church (or else they cannot be advanced or "saved") and are sometimes encouraged by higher church members to distance themselves from non Scientologists.

There have been a several deaths associated with the church, mainly suicides from people who are encouraged not to seek psychiatric help or take medication, though there have been a few deaths due to mistreatment by other members in the religion (mainly in their Narconon and Criminon drug and criminal rehab centers).

That W interview was freaky. Everytime I see Katie on video talking she scares me, and everything I just read in that interview scared me even more.

Very interesting Noe! I don't know why but I find that rumor fascinating. Maybe it's because we feel like celebrities lives are an open book, and that we are interested in everything about them.

what is the rob thomas rumour?? I assume it's that him and Tom like to get it on...but what about poor Marisol??

Anyhow, can someone pls fill me in?! ;)

It's all starting to make so much sense.....my gut tells me this relationship is a farce. It's the perfect explanation as to why Scarlett and Kate Bosworth were approached - he was auditioning them to play a decoy-wife.

Well, it may be the greatest acting job Katie Holmes ever gets now.

And the marriage would have to be for real, otherwise the media would catch that right away...
But does this mean they wouldn't have sex.....because I would die (if it was me - not if they weren't doing it, that, I don't really care about). The sanctity of marriage is officially dead (Though in Hollywood, does it really exist?). :ninja:

I can answer my own question:

Tom Cruise's contract with Katie Holmes promises the young starlet five million dollars if she keeps up the routine for five years. Lucky for her, there's a clause to guarantee no unnecessary sex.
(jossip.com)

Okay-now, does anyone know if the Church of Scientology allows for multiple partners? because here's what I think:

She's converting so that although legally married to Tom - her conversion would mean she would not be acting immorally by sleeping with others...

eureka! :woot:
(from mow on, this is the theory I'm goin with  ).

I really don't like the sound of this Scientology crap. What a bunch of lies, not to mention the founder was a pathological liar. sheeze.

I didn't know about this Rob Thomas rumour! :o

You know, if I was Nicole I'd be worried sick about my kids (she probably is), not only for the whole scientology bit, but also for them having to hear all these stories about their father, and having to watch him go completely nut.

And I wonder how Katie's parents are feeling... If it was my daughter, I'd be devastated.
