I'm not a big fan of Katie's wedding dress....We haven't seen a good, up-close picture of the dress yet so I could be wrong but I don't like the frilly stuff around the neckline and shoulders of the dress.

With that said, I have to give Katie credit for choosing a very tasteful, classy dress for the wedding. Considering she's marrying Tom Cruise in a multi-million dollar wedding in Italy she could have bought some gaudy, over-the-top dress--- like some over-publicized celebs do. And I do like the veil she chose, it looks very elegant without taking attention away from her face.

I do have to say, sometimes I'm jealous of the happy, shiny, famous Scienos (they're the public face, and have a much better time of it than everyday people - I highly highly doubt Tom Cruise has ever seen or heard anything bad about his faith, so of course he promotes it, that's the danger of an organization this controlling). They seem so sure of their place in the universe. Kind of like Once Saved Always Saved Protestants. I envy that kind of assurance that you're right.

Well, if Tom has never heard anything bad about his religion, it only shows his ignorance and a lack of intelectual abilities. I mean, if you have an interest for something, how can you not try to know more about it ?

As to the assurance thing, I also envy people like that. Even if I know that they're wrong.

^^ Well the Scienos are pretty much forbidden from reading anything bad about their religion. I think they are encouraged not to use the net and read anything that is derogatory about scientology. I think the higher ups don't want the minions getting smart and heading for the door.

I know in the past when Tom has been challenged about Scientology, he pretty much changes the question and veers off on some tangent. That or he tells the interviewers that the don't have a clue what they are talking about and they should read some of L. Ron's books. I saw Diane Sawyer tell him she had read the books and she still had questions and Tom just stuttered and wouldn't dicusss it further with her.

My favourite was when Tom was sounding off on the evils of psychiatry to Entertainment Weekly mag and spouting off all these crazy facts that he'd pulled out of his ***. The mag actually put in brackets how they'd debunked all of his "facts" after ie we checked this out and tom's statement is not true etc. Pretty funny.

Soo back to the non-wedding. I see the oh so private couple have released even more pics to People mag. Go figure.

Seriously how many celebs release the sketches of their wedding attire? Tom wanted to get as many pages of coverage in People mag as possible I imagine.

Pfft. I doubt it. I think Katie gave up being Catholic when she signed her contract with Tom. The reason it never worked out with Nic and Penelope is that they wouldn't give up being Catholic and commit to Scientology. Tom doesn't pratice any other religion than his own although I don't believe Scientology counts as a religion.

Funny how sites like TMZ and The Smoking Gun have yet to stumble on their marriage license if they really did tie the knot in LA.

I'm telling you that I wouldn't be surprised to find out in a few yrs time that they never got legally married.
