After IAmLordZen's tip in the cover rumour thread, here's the cover itself (vogue.co.uk):

SPRING heralds change; green shoots and new beginnings - and in the April issue of Vogue, cover girl Kate Winslet epitomises just that. She sports a new pale blonde crop and simple monochrome clothes, captured by Mario Testino, and in Solo Act tells Jo Ellison about starting again following her split from husband Sam Mendes.

The other girl of the issue is model Lindsey Wixson who, fresh from a starring role on the autumn/winter 2011-12 catwalks, appears in two very different Vogue shoots. She dons a short black wig for a surreal turn in The Right Lines, photographed by Tim Walker, whilst Alasdair McLellan captures her poolside in Lolita-inspired colour pop swimwear for Pool Party.

Interviews with Raf Simons and Rodarte's Mulleavy sisters explore the secrets behind fashion's biggest rising stars - and one of the industry's most successful duos, Dolce and Gabbana, answer the questions of VOGUE.COM readers. Meanwhile, Fashion's New Generation unearths the names who could be where those fashion giants are in 20 years; charting the models, designers, filmmakers, hairdressers and stylists to know right now.

I think Kate looks kind of bad, imo. She looks like a poor Gwen Stefani impersonator or something, with those dark eyebrows and that bleached hair. Her face itself doesn't look quite right either. She just doesn't look like herself to me.

I'm curious to see Lindsey's editorials though, she's been growing on me lately.

I love it! Kate looks absolutely gorgeous -- as usual! This is a toned down cover after their eccentric energetic cover for March. I love the subtle sweet colors!

She looks okay. I like the pose and I like the colours but she looks a bit angry.

There's that minimal quality that I love about the cover. It's refreshing not to have any complaints regarding UK Vogue. Kate looks fantastic, I do like the bleached hair and dark eyebrows. I'm never curious to see a celebrity profile, but I'm more than excited to see Kate's photos.

I really like this cover. Kate looks gorgeous and I like seeing her as a platinum blonde. As for the two editorials with Lindsey, I'm more interested in the Pool Party one than the other (hate it when models wear wigs). I hope there are more models inside, not just Lindsey. Thanks for posting the cover, tigerrouge.

I adore Kate and i'm so glad to see her on the cover, but i'm not sold on the hair here.
It looks unnatural and not really....her.

This shot however, is stunning! The crop looks more like a messy updo, so it works a little better.

From the previews on Vogue's site:

Lindsey Wixson and Kirsi Pyrhonen by Tim Walker
Lindsey Wixson by Alasdair McLellan
Guinevere van Seenus by Javier Vallhonrat

Kate is one of my favourite actresses but I had to check twice to confirm if that was her on the cover.. I prefer her in post 12 (which is not saying much).. Maybe its just my eyes but her eyes look violet/light purple at first glance in post 12..

Not a bad cover. Although I'm not sure about Kate's new do, and the color contrasts and shapes make the cover look a bit "rough around the edges," other than that it's pleasantly uncomplicated. Testino has done worse.

I sincerely hope that photo in #12 is not as airbrushed in the magazine, though. That kind of botched photoshopping is just inexcusable, and when I purchase a copy of Vogue I do so because I want to see photos that have been reworked well. Kate barely looks herself, the skin just pretty much speaks for itself, and there's even something strange going on with the part of her hair that's coming down on the side of her face; it looks shoddier than the rest, which makes me think it's been moved around. I'm sorry but someone really did a sh!t job there.

Shame. Would've been a terrific shot otherwise.

Walker's not a favorite, but still interesting to see what becomes of his ed with Kirsi. ^_^

If there ever was a woman who did not need extensive airbrushing its Kate! Ive seen mannequins more real looking than that! I do however think she is rocking the hairstyle, something different. And so much for the redesign of the cover, its pretty much the same, overuse of that font and all.

Oh and holy celeb covers galore so far this year; Knightley, Beckham, Rosie (i know, but to me she is more of a celeb than a model), and now Winslet.
