Hmm it's a big exclusive but a real letdown. I would've honestly preferred the Queen. Maybe artworks of the queens profile by different artists. And Josh Olins? Really?!

Ha, after Kate covered last month I was breaking my head thinking who could possibly be a bigger name to cover the 100th issue, but they got a big name alright.

At first look I wasn't happy at the styling, but actually it's good because it really fits her and her lifestyle. I think her charisma and her beauty is what is selling this so well, trying to make it more "fashion" would look silly. And I love that Josh shot this too, much fresher choice than the usual suspects.

It's very Kate. They didn't make her look like a model or an actress and i can appreciate that.

It is a very lovely cover. Very casual styling for a fashion magazine especially Vogue. Though I do not mind the look on the cover, I wish it was at least more 'British'. This gives me 'The Duchess in Dallas' at the moment. The text placement is uncomfortable.. but then again it is English Vogue.

Honestly this is such a refreshing choice and such a big deal for Vogue UK that I can't complain about anything. They did the 100th anniversary right, I really can't imagine a better person for it.

Stunning! My mouth dropped open in shock when I saw the title of the thread though, I didn't think they would ever manage to get her for the cover but I'm really glad they did. I'm also pleasantly surprised by the choice of photographer, I'd have thought she would be photographed by Testino or Demarchelier and I'm really glad she wasn't.

I really like how they styled her here, she looks beautiful and it's a very charming shot. I hope the title is in gold foil, I think it probably will be and I think it will make the cover even more gorgeous! I'm really excited to get my copy of this.

The styling is a bit underwhelming but well, Kate on the cover is a victory itself for Vogue UK so i can't complain. This issue no doubt will seel like hot cakes.
i can only imagine how many times this cover will be reprinted by other editions and publications.

So many mixed feelings about this.

The first one: OMG! What a "coup" for Vogue UK! Props to them for getting such a big 'star'.

The second one: Hmmm, I think monarchies should stay away from all this circus. It's quite cheap and too pop for them. Not very classy.

Third one and maybe polemic: Having such an important job by the grace of God is not something I enjoy... And not saying this for her, but for what she represents.

Fourth: Glad Testino didn't shoot it!

Fifth: Not going to criticize the art direction cause it's hard not to offend sensibilities when someone of her caliber gets this public... I find the cover quite harmless, so good for them. And at least it's not a studio shot... I'm bored of boring studio pictures.

Sixth: This cover will becomeme iconic... I like when you have that feeling even if it's too soon.

Seventh: This would be a nice farewell for Shulman. Time to bring someone new!!
