UK Vogue June 2016 : The Duchess of Cambridge by Josh Olins

I like that it´s very down to earth
I´m bothered by the "Vogue´s 100 years" text placement though...

What a refreshing surprise. I like that the styling is not too glam up. I think this fits her well and she represents her personal style. Also, what a surprise Josh Olins photographed the cover. The cover has an iconic touch which is wonderful for such a huge issue.

What a let down, sigh! Just a really unappealing shot of her for the cover! She is far more beautiful than that, and she is photogenic, so why this generic cover shot?!

She is a huge get for them, but this is 100th anniversary!! They SHOULD have used her better! Testino must be pissed it wasn't he who shoot her though, ha! This will do a lot for Olins though, and it couldnt have happened to a cooler guy, so happy for him.

Wow I always thought they would never let this happen (by them, I mean the palace), this is amazing and :ninja: :ninja: I love her , she just seems so nice.. not to the point of buying it, or who knows!, but really looking forward to the interview and rest of the story. So good for Vogue UK..

I do not like her one bit, she's probably the laziest woman in England, but i have to say I'm pleasanty surprised by cover, she looks quite natural and beautiful, it must have been quite hard to separate her from the fascinators and the nude pantyhose.

Wow! :o
She looks lovely, I love her smile <3

The styling is not the most exciting, but its timeless so I'm not mad at it.

Also Josh Olins is a nice surprise, thank god its not boring Testino or Leibovitz.

I think she looks lovely. The styling is appropriate given who she is; they were never going to put her in a couture ball gown.

Sporty Kate is the best Kate, so props to them for knowing that, she looks gorgeous.

This will be iconic! I had hoped for it but never thought it would actually happen. I am so happy they captured Kate in her most natural, beautiful, state. She looks so comfortable and happy.

I LOVE IT! She looks great and it's not by Testino. One of her best cover in a long time.
It will be iconic and i'm very happy for Josh Olins.

That's quite unexpected.
I thought she swore off posing for the fashion magazines.
She looks natural and pretty which is good even though the colors are somewhat autumnal for a summer issue. But who's to complain.
Will she be the only cover subject on the anniversary issue or others as well?

Very beautiful, simple and no-fuss.

AHHH!!!! My gut was right! I'm so happy!

However, they could have done so much better. But she's gorgeous!! But maybe there were restrictions, so yeah. I'd take this.

OMG!!!! My wish came true! And there's no Testino which makes it doubly awesome. I simply love the outcome, it stayed true to what she's about. But more than anything, I'm so so so happy for Josh Olins. This is tremendous for him. Truth be told he's never produced an awful cover for this magazine.
Maybe she eventually agreed because this is a milestone cover for Vogue. Kudos to Alexandra, if the rumours are true that she'll be leaving off soon then this was a phenomenal way to leave her final mark.
I love that they didn't go ultra-glam, I imagine this was a strict directive from her, and possibly the palace?

But now, lol, now Anna and Testino will start an even more aggressive campaign to have her on US Vogue as well. And so will Graydon and every other Tom, Dick and Harry for an exclusive. Oh Kate, you've just opened the floodgates!

She looks absolutely gorgeous! A very beautiful cover but does this look like an anniversay cover? Not very celebratory but I don't care! At least they got someone lovely, beautiful and with credibility. She fits perfectly the theme. An maybe casual styling is something to appreciate too.

There are 7 images in her editorial and an article/interview to go alongside it written by Alexandra. It was shot in January so kudos to them for managing to ensure not a single bit of info leaking.

If anyone is interested, the reason she agreed to the cover was because she's the patron of the National Portrait Gallery, who are hosting the Vogue 100 exhibit. In an interview with Sky News this morning Alexandra said she was very involved in the shoot, its location and the outfits.

The reason I think it's Josh and not Mario is purely because of his nationality, I think they wanted a British photographer to capture her for it, just like the fact she's wearing Burberry on the cover image.

This is such a wonderful surprise. Didn't think I'd be so happy to see her but I really am. Love that it's very casual and simple and I'm so happy for Josh Olins. He's amazing and this is very much deserved!
