UK Vogue June 2016 : The Duchess of Cambridge by Josh Olins

But now, lol, now Anna and Testino will start an even more aggressive campaign to have her on US Vogue as well. And so will Graydon and every other Tom, Dick and Harry for an exclusive. Oh Kate, you've just opened the floodgates!

I don't really think so. While it would take an auspicious occasion for Catherine to be on the cover the UK Vogue has a history of British royals on the cover so not that shocking. And it didn't really cause a plethora of Windsors on any other mag (that I can recall).

It's an okay shoot although I haate the hat lol. Not that exciting but that would have been a mistake with her. Never get tired of seeing that ring.

Kate is a great looking woman, but this is dull, but it fits her. She should dress a bit younger/fresher, most of the time her wardrobe is a bit oldish and safe.

Please! It was made very clear last year that Wintour employed Testino and his connections to secure her for the September 15 cover. Kate is really more than just a Windsor royal tbh, she's a force in both the fashion and cultural spectrum. As such she's immensely sought after.

@ Honeycombchild: Thanks so much for the updates!! The gold foil makes it look even much better. Was the Sky interview live? I wonder, did Alexandra conduct an interview or it's just an article about her. I don't think she ever wrote text for the magazine before. And where was it shot? Ugh, I have so many questions. The issue better be for sale within the next few days, lol.

That's huge, I'm happy for the British Vogue team! Can't wait to buy the issue

Styling is boring and basic but I guess I shouldn't complain much because I think Kate has a lot of say in how she wants to be portrayed in the photo shoot. Anyway I am beyond surprised and happy to see Kate on the cover!

It's quite nice cover but this false smile is awful.

She looks like she's in the outback on a farm

Would have loved a more obvious British theme.

I called it in the Cover Rumour Thread and everybody said "no, not going to happen"

She looks so lovely and warm. Proud of UK Vogue to do this for their anniversary. It could have easily gone wrong but nothing could top this.

Also very happy that Olins shot her, and not Testino.

Pretty happy with this, and the clean layout of the cover feels appropriate for the centenary issue. Definitely one for the ages and great to see that Josh Olins shot it.

Good for them for getting her but damn, this cover is stale and boring.

It's a nice cover and it fits the occasion very well but it's also rather dull..

The logo will be gold foil.

Id love to know how long this took to pull off and the story behind it happening. i hope Alex does an interview to reveal all.

Terrible cover. Nothing memorable or iconic about it . An overrated person for an overrated magazine.I understand she is a royal so it is a big coop but why not get somebody who is truly charismatic .

Kate is definitely not a cultural force .She is an overhyped person who spent years and years doing nothing but waiting for a ring to be shoved on her finger. She is a terrible role model for young women. .The cover is also a nice deflection from the lazy/vapid criticism she and her husband have been getting from the press. The cover is also a PR coup for Kate's handlers.Had Kate not received the criticism she would have not agreed to do the cover. On the other hand it is a great coup for Vogue .

Love this cover! Can't wait to buy it! Wonderful layout, perfect choice of celebrity for a 100th cover and I am so relieved that no Testino or Demarchelier shot it!

A terrible role model for young women? Really? I know we're all entitled to our own opinions but if I rolled my eyes any harder at your comments I'd do myself an injury.

Slay, Queen Kate. BTW, this could've easily been a VP cover.
