I have to agree with MMA, Elle has been having some ok content lately despite the flaws with the covers.

On her life changing incident:

Its like her head is bigger than her body on the cover, they could have used a better picture.

this is so unattractive...and the fashion on the cover is just bad, new low point for elle magazine.

too bad that wasn't true...
i do agree with mma that the contents have been stellar and joe zee et. al, have stepped up their game in that regard...
maybe that's their hook, bring in the masses with crappy covers and give them interesting content...

its not a great cover but what has she done to deserve all these negative comments? poor jessica.
I find that the Elle covers are such a jumbled mess of text and mismatched colours that no matter who is on the cover it looks awful. I was just looking at my August issue recently and thinking it is just so unappealing, what can they be thinking?

i don't believe bensimon shot this. he and joe zee do not get along and both have been fighting for power at the magazine ever since zee got there.
i really like elle lately. their articles and editorials have been good. but their cover subjects continue to suck. who would want to buy a september issue with jessica on the cover?

I can't understand how someone in charge would think "oh, this jumble of words and phrases on the cover is absolutely divine".It just looks ugly, if you're going to put words on the cover make them organized ,and try to limit them so it isn't overwhelming.

Looks just like September 2004 - to a tee. Way photoshopped...she's not that thin. This one really needs to go away. No talent and we're all getting tired of her. Surprised she landed the fall fashion cover.
