US Vogue ‘Digital Edition’ December 2024 by Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin

It's hard enough to make 1 girl look decent... If they want a good group composition but not Meisel they really should get Mert, Annie or GvS. Repetitive but those are their best bets.
Vittoria is the winner here. Angelina is a less chiseled baby Gisele. Including Loli Bahia in the sorority of US Vogue is surprising and makes them look up to date re casting. Notice top girls like Lulu and Vitto are aware of hands.
Styling from Camilla is nice, deconstructed but not ravaged looking.
Do not get that many crossed arms in 1 ed, the final shot is not printable, much less double page material.

There's no way this lacklustre GAP advertorial of a cover shoot would entice me to look twice at any issue containing it.

All that plastic surgery to become a mediocre model. Imagine...
It’s probably an unpopular opinion but I think she is actually good as a model. Her solo shot with Vittoria is the best for me. Everything works.
Lulu is good too but I’m less convinced by what she wears.

I think some people just want to hate Amelia because she is a nepo model but I think she has something.

She tries, I admire the hustle. Lisa Rinna isn't a big enough force to propel a daughter to Vogue covers unless that daughter is also putting in work and making herself a pleasure to work with.

To me, when you look at the group shot it's obvious one of the models is not like the others. The clear work done on her face just screams "influencer" more than model. People are praising the solo shot but she looks ordinary/stiff in it, to me. Look at her in the B&W group shot of them all side by side. She is giving nothing to the camera. Every other model featured has something special. Amelia brought a photo of Gabbriette to her consult with her surgeon and it shows! Her new, more severe look works better for high fashion than her natural looks, I suppose, but she has a very limited range and her only strong work is when she leans into the Gabbriette cosplay.

I don't mind the occasional sighting of someone that's more "influencer" looking, but when you're not made to be an entirely convincing fashion model, you need to bring something else to the work, and add value in some other way.

Surnames are not enough - the camera doesn't care - and any social capital that's been built up by anyone else in the family can be easily squandered by the next generation, just like the bank accounts.

This! I could like Amelia but I can’t get over the fact that she just stole Gabbriettes face and is more famous than her

Tbh, I think some people think about details. I’m not that invested in models but I think she has a distinctive face (surgery or not) but more than that, she has a presence.
For me, a model is a presence.
I don’t particularly like Kendall Jenner because she doesn’t have a presence. Her best work are Paparazzi shots. In front of the camera or on the runway, I’m not convinced. The same for Lila Moss.

I see Amelia on the runway and in print and she is doing the job. She is not the most versatile and a lot of models are not but it’s ok.

I like Anok on the runway but she is terrible in prints to me.

I love Vittoria because she is versatile and in prints or on the runway, she is doing the job.

But I think we are appreciating different things on models.

No Asian!!! >:(
For the sake of diversity and box-ticking, Lulu, Loli and Angelina all share the same identity. They only need Lulu and could replace the other two with an Asian supermodel such as Lina Zhang or Chu Wong.

Terrible models choice.
Vittoria started her career in 2016, it's been almost 10 years, she's not a breakthrough star.
Same considerations for Anok and Lulu. Speaking of Anok, funny how she started as the second choice for black model token since Adut was much more famous and on demand, things switched pretty quickly after pandemic.
Devyn is there only for the "plus size" token (Paloma was probably not available or Anna got tired of her).
I'm fine with Loli and Amelia. Should have included Karolina Spakowski and Bibi Breslin.

Vittoria Ceretti killed it ... The casting however as they pointed out before here is a bit confusing. They should have included models who debuted more or less in the same period
