I like it! It’s a little gloomy for summer, but I don’t mind too much. Always happy to see Anne.

I’ve found Annie’s work is much more appealing to me in print than on a screen. I find that the post-processing is much more obvious in digital form, but it almost always ends up looking quite cinematic on the page.

I’ll probably pick this up when I see it. Considering how long it takes for the magazine to get over to the UK these days, it’ll most likely be from the airport when I go on holiday in a couple of months time.

Just take her to the Met, and the Guggenheim, and do a bunch of selfies against art.
I do like the green dress shot, but even that, could have been better.
Annie is past caring, and Anne looks sad.

This is so dreadful, if the intention was to try to make Sarah Burton's Givenchy happen, they failed miserably. None of this is aspirational, the lighting, the mood, the styling.

STOP Annie Leibovitz from going near a camera again for God's sakes !!! Her prime was 30 years ago, nowadays she is NOT to be trusted to shoot anything fashion related. She can take pictures of lifeless objects if she wants to but PLEASE tell this woman to stop doing this !!! And people had the nerve to criticize Mert and Marcus when they stepped into the scene or Meisel in the past few years LOL : I will take any of their worst days but NOT this !!! Leibovitz should have been shown the door eons ago.

The lighting, post-production, and just the overall photography from Annie Leibovitz is abysmal here. Leibovitz has sucked the life out of Anne Hathaway. Such a glum, sombre, and miserable-looking cover for August.

It's better than her last cover, which isn't saying much, but there's a confidence that I like. The ed is what you expect from an Annie & Vogue collaboration. Norman Jean Roy would probably be cheaper with better results.
