I'm just glad my subscription ran out, I don't want anything to do with this. Yeah, she looks nice and I totally understand why she's on the cover, but she's just not my cup of tea. I especially can't stand when people are force fed to me as the next big thing when everything they produce is mediocre. Just because she works with this one and that one and has all this attention doesn't mean that she's actually any good at what she does save from bouncing her boobs all over the place.

I thought about not writing anything on here but then I saw a few comments of people who share the same P.O.V so there I go. I don't understand her as a model at all, I was shocked to see Meisel and Franca to give her the Italian Vogue cover and now the supreme cover of all in the fashion world: an US Vogue cover, Anna and the rest of people who used her on editorials and covers understand that she'll sell and fine by them if they want to sacrifice their vision for money but I wouldn't. There are far better looking and more deserving models in the world (full figured or not), (with much more appeal and skills) and so for them to pick her AND to call her "the hottest supermodel on earth" is just plain disgusting. I also cancelled my subscription a month ago and I knew this would happen. The magazine itself has become boring and blah, it's all about the editors now, the stories are such a bore and the editorials not good, last month from what I saw only Caroline's editorial was good and she isn't a new face so the magazine, for me, has become super repetitive, cliché and not moving forward. I can't stand Testino's way too retouched pictures and lol who-in-the-world would shoot this cover with Kate Upton lol : him.

How dare they call her a supermodel! What has she done as a model to begin with?Secondly, I don't think she looks pretty at all on the cover, while she obviously is quite pretty. I also noticed that she can't seem to close her mouth in not a single pic from the ed. It's certainly not a bad cover, but i'm just truly disappointed that she's on it, she's done nothing to deserve it.

Just what I'm thinking.

Firstly, the reason Kate Upton became the "hottest (as IF.) supermodel in the world" is because shes related to billionaires. I don't think she's pretty in the slightest. She's just another model that nobody cares about. She hasn't walked a SINGLE show (except for swimsuit shows. I mean, really?), so why is she being called a supermodel? She got two swimsuit editions? Big whoop. It's bad enough that the quality of content in Vogue has dwindled down from daring, beautiful editorials to bringing us inside the private lives/homes of rich people nobody cares about EVERY MONTH. People have been asking for models on the cover for years and years and years. What do we get? Kate Moss, Gisele Bundchen, and Christy Turlington. Not a single up-and-comer. There are people who have worked for this cover for years. I'm not even Karlie's biggest fan but how many editorials for Vogue does she have? She was profiled in the SEPTEMBER ISSUE almost FOUR YEARS AGO. Where is her cover? If there is any model who deserves a cover it's her. Not some wannabe who got famous for being on the cover of a swimsuit magazine and doing some stupid dance for Terry Richardson. She's just some girl who calls herself a model because she wants to become a big, famous actress. Even though her acting would be more on par with a p*rno than it would with the Oscars. (It's things like this that make me angry. Well, one of many things.)

You're my hero loool you're thinking EXACTLY the same way as I do regarding this cover. Thanks and now people will say 'stop hating' loooool it's not hate, it's just sick to see that, IN ORDER TO SELL, they prefer to compromise themselves where other BETTER MODELS should be on that cover, or better yet a multi-cover girls, which I love.

I think this cover is PERFECT, i like everything about it and Kate is a stunning beauty!!! I think like it or not she's becoming a supermodel, in less than an year she got covers for American Vogue (Impossible for a model to get it), Italian Vogue and British Vogue and i haven't seen anything like that from the days of Gisele Bundchen.

This is hot! Yes, Kate rather looks like a FHM girl than a Paris runway model, but stop being so snobbish about her. I'd rather see Upton than all those alien looking models like Daphne, Lindsey etc.
It's better than her previous Vogue covers.

Also, I unfortunately doubt Karlie will get a US cover. Yes, whoever is into fashion knows about her, but she isn't generally famous like Gisele, Adriana Lima, Kate Moss etc. The nation(s) may know her face, but I think people (in US maybe) don't connect her name with the face. After all, you gotta be famous to be on US Vogue.

I really don't like this cover, her expression leaves my cold. She looks bored. Then there is that exorbitant cover line. To call her a supermodel would have been bad enough, but "The Hottest Supermodel On Earth" is near blasphemous. Her rise has been an enigma I cannot unravel. What is her appeal? She's a rather bland girl imo.

And it's refreshing to give a cover to a model instead of another hollywood actress or singer promoting another movie or album, so go Kate

It's better than I thought it would be, but still I'm rather blank about the whole affair. It's better than her UK Vogue cover that's for sure, but like a few people above I'm a little bit of a loss to see why she landed the first 'new' model cover for US Vogue in a such a long time, aside from the fact she has a 'celebrity' aspect to her where as other models like Karlie, Arizona or whatever perhaps don't.

Yay! she looks astonishingly beautiful, colors are fantastic and styling is so effing perfect. I'm so happy for Mario as well, I haven't liked his latest work but this is beyond gorgeous, all those locations are simply breath-taking (pretty sure it was shot in Peru).

Yes you're absolutely right! She's more of a celeb than a model to me, à la Heidi Klum.

This is probably this year´s best US Vogue cover! And i really never was a fan of Kate Upton...

maybe Gwen Stefani can compete with this. But things with her head and Vogue letters were a bit weird on January cover - that´s why this is my winner....

I can't wait!! Love this: the cover, Kate, the editorial with it's outdoorsy escape appeal. I will be buying this as soon as it his the stands. A great issue for Vogue, IMHO!

Obviously with this choice of cover model: the hype sells! And that's the most important factor of all.
It's nice, but I want something surprising and stunning.
