US Vogue March 2006 : Natalie Portman by Craig McDean

it's not bad, but again, what's with the reader's digest type?? ugh...

i am looking forward to 600+ pages...lots of advertisements  isn't it ironic that we look forward to those

Oooh 600+ pages awesome, can't wait to see the fashion ads they are more interesting than the editorials. and this issue has got all the spring collection stuff.

Natalie Portman is BEAUTIFUL... they could have done more with her in this cover... It doesn't do anything for me.

And off topic, but: why do people bid for these magazines on e-bay... so they can be the first person to have it or something?

how come it's ALREADY on ebay, anyways??

Hee hee! True, that. Although Vogue does surprise me everyonce in a while. I enjoyed Andre's recent column and the Alek Wek article. But yeah, baby -- tell me you have 600 pages and I'm a sucker for the issue 'cause I know there are going to be a zillion ads :woot: and maybe among all those pages, there will be a memorable story or article!

Ebay -- yeah, I'm sure a hardcore Portman fan will dish out the extra for the advance copy. I wish I had that kind of money to throw around!

The cover -- very pretty.

I like the cover, but too much text.

Sorry to double post but wanted to also comment on cover text.

Isn't this a reflection of the US populace in general? It's like the ticker tape on all the networks news these days. Information, information, information, information, information.

Overload.

I'm really looking forward to purchasing this issue :innocent:
It's usually only the thick issues that I buy anways...

Does this issue have the Dita von Teese wedding pictures? Please post them if they are, because I won't be seeing this issue until March...

^ It is! :D If not here, they'll probably be posted in Dita's thread in Star Style.

please can someone post a review and scans? :flower:

Oh I loved it too! But hey, four pages of good stuff in a publication of more than 200 pages? I would never get anywhere close to a US vogue number if I had to pay for it!And what's up with the tiny format for and the crappy paper?
Back on current issue, the cover is hideous. How they did manage to scr*w up Natalie-Goddess-Portman is beyond my understanding. Still I should never underestimate the capacity of Vogue to ever exceed its own mediocrity.
Yet I am too looking forward to this issue: a Natalie ed  (hopefully better than the cover shot) and Dita's wedding dress. :bounce:

dita von teese's wedding feature will be in this issue, according to her thread, so that's something to look forward to, for me at least. :flower:

For me as well!!!!!!!!!!

why arent there models on the covers anymore? If i wanna see an actress i'd buy a hollywood gossip magazine.... Or at least have some meaningful actresses on the cover....why did Mrs Trump have to be on Vogue cover,...couldnt Hillary swank be on that cover when tehre was an article of hers inside....

^ US Vogue's secret ambition is to be like every other celebrity/boring magazine out there.
