US Vogue March 2015 : Karlie Kloss & Taylor Swift by Mikael Jansson

I'm sick of these 'black' editorials. What's with the segregation? It's beautiful nonetheless.

'Light Brigade'...so much joy here, haven't seen that in an editorial for a long time! Definitely a throwback to the infamous Lindbergh/Dudzeele edit with Karen Alexander, Linda, Christy etc.

Tami and Kai steal the show in their running shot but Aya looks phenomenal as well. I must say that this issue looks like the first one in forever worthy of dropping money on, such a good cast and a relatively solid group of shutterbugs listed (I could do without Willy as usual though).

i agree, but i guess in this specific issue they needed something to counter-balance the blinding whiteness of the cover / editorial ...

Light Brigade is a boring editorial BUT their happiness draws me in. It's not a stellar editorial and it's not a memorable one definitely, but their smiles and laughter are just appealing to me. Hay.

Can't wait to see Willy's editorial!! And Lara <3

Really? You think this is boring? I already expressed my displeasure in all black editorials but this one is really gorgeous. And if you think about the other all black editorials in recent years in this magazine or others, I think of lots of bright colors, dancing and prints (animal prints especially, which is just ).

Are the images completely new? No, we've seen this before but I think the fact that this is different from what we usually see with these types of editorials coupled with a great cast elevates this :flower:

Just like I'm sick of these all 'white' editorials...no? I'd rather an all black editorial than to not have any black or non-Caucasians models featured at all.

I just rather all races be used together in all editorials. But I guess you just can't deny that it's an aesthetic thing after all, it's about visual impact.

Light Brigade is nice but I prefer the Lost in Time edit in the current issue of Australian Vogue. Same theme just better IMO.

Oh and i'm surprised no one has mentioned the similarity between the cover edit and the Un Weekend edit Janssen did for French Vogue. It's basically the same but once again not as good. There's always a lot more polish added to US Vogue that strips them of their impact.

The cover is very boring & bland, the ed is better, but the whole thing is that this look like more an story of Teen Vogue or any teen mag.

The Lindbergh story is amazing, the cast is perfect. I can't wait to see the other eds, especially the Vanderperre's.

'Light Brigade' by Lindbergh is one of the best editorials so far this year

Holding Pattern merely survives thanks to the Vogue UK thematic, but there goes Willy's work on a dive as expected in Touch The Sky, trademark sculptural lines gone, color harmony too boring for 'funky' US Vogue readers, because they have to take a photographer in only to reduce his work to this flat collection of feel-good advertorial-looking portraits.

Light Brigade is amazing. I had to double look at the 'all black' term used every two posts after it was posted.. anyone that's been consuming magazines for over 2 years has had some basic exposure to the recurrent celebration of a certain type of beauty, sometimes you'll see the all Dutch editorial, all Brazilian, Polish, Asian... it's a bit stupid, not even sad, that whenever you see people putting some creative effort in working with a type of beauty that has not been explored the way others have (not even a 10%), and achieving a result that's aesthetically on point and feels honest and natural like all other 'body celebrations', for a change, and not like a cartoon as it could be easily predicted, we are met with this debate as to why and what are the motives behind it, is it an apology? is it honest? is it too much? can't we see other types of beauty too? ooh maybe it's a production that clearly involved racial discrimination. For god's sakes. Sometimes one wonders why fashion's become so boring, and there are multiple answers but one of them has got to be the incredibly lazy and simplistic viewer that claps happily at the same model, same hair color, same makeup and his only demand? more of the same because 'it's never enough!', the beauty standard has to be reinforced and cherished at all times, god forbid it is brought into question with not even the criticism it deserves, just, gasp, a shy and well-produced visual alternative.

Why does everyone look so re-touched and digital??:judge:
Also please let Andreea get an only girl story soon..she's so beautiful and was on the cover for Gods sake, is this only her first appearance since that issue?
